Earlier today, Xiaomi kicked off 2015 by announcing two new smartphones: the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. Both phones are clear responses to Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, and Meizu’s MX4 Pro. Let’s not forget that, during the same event, the Chinese manufacturer also announced two new accessories: the Mi Box Mini and Mi Headphones.

Starting with the Mi Box Mini, it’s essentially a smaller version of Xiaomi’s Mi Box, the company’s set-top box for streaming video and music. The Mi Box Mini is powered by a Cortex-A7 quad-core 1.3GHz processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. You’ll find 4GB of internal storage, as well as 1080p output and its own built-in power supply. Speaking of which, the Mi Box Mini stays true to its “Mini” moniker, as the thing is almost as small as a generic phone charger.

The only port you’ll find on the Mi Box Mini is an HDMI port. Navigating through the device’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat interface should be easier, thanks to a bundled Bluetooth remote control. The Mi Box Mini will go on sale from January 20 for ¥199, or about $30. Importers will be glad to know that the Mi Box Mini will grant access to the Play Store.

Finally, we have the Mi Headphones. This set of cans features large beryllium diaphragm drivers which are usually associated with high-end audio gear, though that’s no guarantee they’ll sound good unless the design is well-engineered. Interestingly, you can change the covers on the earpieces to make them go either over-the-ear or on-ear. When the Mi Headphones go on sale in the coming weeks, they will cost ¥499, or roughly $80.
