Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious is an upcoming standalone expansion — basically a game of its own — that ties the rubber-burning, open world driving action of Forza Horizon 2 in with the popular Fast & Furious movie franchise. In celebration of the April 3 theatrical release of Furious 7, Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious (say that mouthful five times, fast and furiously) will be available as a free download on Xbox 360 and Xbox One from March 27 through April 10. After that, it will cost $10 for anyone that did not download it during the initial release window.

“Forza is synonymous with racing and fun, so it’s only natural for us to work with one of the most celebrated action franchises in the world,” said Xbox Impresario Phil Spencer. “This is a great way to bring Forza players into the world of ‘Fast & Furious,’ and in Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, every fan will get a chance to go wheels-first into the exciting action of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise.”

The game features over 11 iconic cars from the film series, including a few from the upcoming Furious 7. Mechanic Tej Parker (played by rapper Ludacris) hires the player to source cars for the Fast & Furious crew’s next big mission. By completing challenges based on the films you unlock more cars which can then be driven freely around the game’s southern France open world playground.

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious comes out for free on March 27, which gives you a week of driving to get pumped up for the April 3 release of Furious 7. Head over to the Xbox Wire for more details and images from the upcoming game, and check out the trailer for Furious 7 here.

Turn 10 Studios bans Confederate flag in Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon games

Microsoft's Turn 10 Studios released new enforcement guidelines for the Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon games, which include a ban on the Confederate flag and other so-called "notorious iconography."

Some Forza players customize their vehicles with a decal of the Confederate flag to recreate the General Lee, the 1969 Dodge Charger from the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. However, with the new guidelines, it looks like the days of the car in Forza games are over.

Of course, it could always slip into next year as well.

How to get to Monkey Island in Sea of Thieves
An election poster for guybrush in Sea of Thieves.

Over the course of its many years of updates and expansions, Sea of Thieves has had a few notable crossovers with other pirate franchises. The Pirates of the Caribbean crossover let you team up with the legendary Jack Sparrow, but the Monkey Island content felt like it came out of nowhere. For those unaware, Monkey Island is a series of pirate point-and-click games that were as funny as the puzzles were obscure. Thankfully, you don't have to intuit that you need to combine a cat whisker with a mason jar to bypass a skeleton guard to get to this new content, but it is more challenging than you might think.
