More Battlefield 4 content is on the way, and it will all be free

With its rocky launch now a distant memory, Battlefield 4 is still going strong, with developer DICE in the process of releasing a steady stream of content for its competitive first-person shooter. and plenty more goodies are scheduled to come down the pipe for the game, and to the delight of fans, all of it will be free for everyone, regardless of whether you are a Premium player or are just a regular old plebe.

DICE producer David Sirland confirmed (via BF4Central) that all future content that is created will be free of charge for all players. This includes new maps and weapons, in addition to the upcoming Gunmaster game mode, in which players must kill opponents with a series of weapons, moving up the ladder of weaponry until they manage to kill someone with a knife and win. Gunmaster is coming in the spring update, along with five new weapons, including an AN-94 assault rifle.

A future update will add Night Maps, which are nighttime versions of a selection of the game’s maps, including Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, and Golmud Railway. This summer DICE will also release a new community map, along with an unnamed remake of a fan-favorite map that orignated from a previous Battlefield game.

This is all great news for Battlefield 4 fans, especially those that aren’t fully sold on Battlefield Hardline. Developers don’t always provide such robust support this long after release, especially when they have already moved on to the next entry in the series.

All Flarlic locations in Pikmin 4

The Pikmin series has always highlighted the idea of commanding huge numbers of tiny creatures at once. With Pikmin 4 utilizing the power of the Switch, more Pikmin than ever can appear on screen, but that doesn't mean you can just grind out an entire army right off the bat. The game will limit you on how many total Pikmin you can control, forcing you to manage your forces between the different types. While this limitation will feel constricting at first, by collecting special plants called Flarlic, you can increase that number by 10. There are 12 total Flarlics to collect, with each stage having one on the surface and one in a cave to find, but you only need eight of them to reach the max Pikmin limit. Here's where to find all the Flarlic in Pikmin 4 so you can travel with a full army.
Sun-Speckled Terrace
The Flarlic you can find on the surface is way up north beyond the electric fence that you need Yellow Pikmin to pass. You'll need at least five Yellow Pikmin to toss up on the potted plant next to the fence in order to reach the Flarlic on the elevated mound.

The second is in the Last-Frost Cavern. Go to the top-left corner of the large northwest room and pluck it out of a sunken plant pot hidden behind some pots you need to smash.

Our surface Flarlic is up north on the south side of the water and requires Blue Pikmin to bring back, or Ice Pikmin to freeze the water below it. It is tucked inside a wooden structure you need to toss some Pikmin up to collect.

Release date

There is no definite release date for Fable 4, and players shouldn't get their hopes up anytime soon. Even after an in-engine trailer was shown at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023, not even a release window has been announced.
