Iogear Delivers New Bluetooth USB Adapters

Iogear today announced the launch of two new Bluetooth USB adapters which they say get up to three times the speed of the current Bluetooth standard. The new Bluetooth 2.0 USB Adapters come inClass 1 ($49.95) and Class 2 ($39.95) categories andare available now.   Iogear’s Bluetooth 2.0 USB Adapters provide users with a data transfer rate of 723 Kbps at ranges up to 330 feet for the Class 1 product and up to 66 feet for the Class 2product. They reportedly draw lower power consumption then similar products, are both compatible with earlier Bluetooth standards and work with both Macs and PCs.   “Consumers are always lookingfor faster ways to share data and photos, not to mention a way to also eliminate the clutter of wires,” said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR Inc. “With our new Bluetooth2.0 adapters, users have an affordable solution that enables them to wirelessly connect their favorite Bluetooth devices and share information at three times the speed of previous specifications.”
