Best Cyber Monday iPhone deals still available

Looking for more than just iPhone discounts? We’ve found deals on iPads, Apple Watches, AirPods, and MacBooks for Cyber Monday.

Since the iPhone 11 trio was released relatively recently, discounts on the latest models are rare and generally small. But if you’re willing to pick up a last-generation iPhone, or an even older model, you can snag some deep discounts on devices like the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone 8 — all of which are still solid smartphones that will serve you well. Apple does a great job of updating its older iPhone models and the hardware inside is still very capable. If you don’t have a burning need for the very latest cutting edge camera or top-notch processing power, then an older iPhone is much better for your bank balance.

In February, an Apple research paper detailed an open-source model called MLLM-Guided Image Editing (MGIE) that is capable of media editing using natural language instructions from users. Now, another research paper on Ferret UI has sent the AI community into a frenzy.

There’s a big problem with the iPhone’s Photos app

While my primary device these days continues to be my iPhone 15 Pro, I’ve dabbled with plenty of Android phones since I’ve been here at Digital Trends. One of my favorite brands of phone has been the Google Pixel because of its strong suite of photo-editing tools and good camera hardware.

Google first added the Magic Eraser capability with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which is a tool I love using. Then, with the Pixel 8 series, Google added the Magic Editor, which uses generative AI to make edits that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. There are also tools like Photo Unblur, which is great for old photographs and enhancing images that were captured with low-quality sensors.
