Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and if your mom isn’t big on flowers and chocolates, or if you want to get her something that won’t be gone within a week, then consider something she probably doesn’t have — a digital picture frame. Unlike traditional frames, a digital unit can store your photos and display them in a slideshow, and the

even has built-in video and music playback.

Oxa’s frame features a 7-inch HD LCD screen for displaying photos, and can stand upright on a flat surface or mount on your wall. The frame displays digital pictures that you store on the device, cycling through the photos as a slideshow or displaying a single photo of your choice. You can set the slideshow to have it cycle through the pictures randomly or in a sequence, and you can also customize playback so that each photo is displayed for seconds, minutes, or an hour.

The Oxa digital picture frame comes with 4GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded to 32GB with an SD card or USB drive. Along with displaying photos, the frame doubles as an entertainment device, allowing you to upload video and audio files to the frame and play them. Included with the device is a handy remote control. The display has a 16:9 aspect ratio for widescreen photos and videos and can support videos with an HD resolution of 720p.

The

supports JPG, PNG, and GIF photos, along with MP3, WMA, and MP4 music files. Most popular video formats are supported as well, including AVI, MOV, WMV, and MP4. A 38 percent discount knocks $30 off of the usual price on Amazon, bringing this great Mother’s Day gift down to

Of course, you’ll find markdowns on a wide array of models at just about every retailer, so sometimes finding the best discounts can be a little tough. The 65-inch LG C4 OLED TV got a $1,000 price cut today
LG C4 OLED

LG OLED TVs need no introduction, but we’re going to give them one anyway: If you’re the type of videophile who needs your TV picture to closely match the look and feel of a film or show that its creators wanted you to experience, an OLED TV is one of the best investments you can make. Primarily made by LG, these TVs ditch LED backlighting entirely, albeit in favor of self-emissive pixels that can toggle on or off individually. The end result is jaw-dropping colors, super-accurate contrast, inky black levels, and top-notch motion performance (in most cases).

If you’ve been shopping around for OLED TV deals, we found a bargain you won’t want to miss: Right now, Best Buy has marked down the price of the LG 65-inch C4 Series OLED to $1,700, when the full price is usually $2,700. Yes, that’s a $1,000 markdown, which means now might also be the time to start thinking about home theater audio. Soundbar deals, anyone?
