How to get Zinc Ore in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

After breaking out of the confined spaces of Midgar in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, a lot of new opportunities and mechanics have been introduced. Along with some standard open-world activities, collecting tons of resources as you travel will be a constant. Icons for all sorts of rocks, plants, and beast parts are needed to transmute new items. Zinc Ore is no different, but it is required for some great accessories you probably want to make early. If you need this precious rock but don’t know where to start looking, hop on your chocobo, and we’ll lead you right to it.

Where to find zinc ore

Square-Enix

Zinc Ore can only be found in the mid- to late-game regions. These include the Corel and Gongaga regions, Cosmo Canyon, Nibel region, and the Meridian Ocean. The most plentiful location we’ve found the ore is in Corel, and most often on Mount Corel itself. Ride your chocobo here and pay attention when it notices something hidden. Sniff it out, and there’s a decent chance you will find some Zinc Ore, but it also appears as normal pickups in the environment. There’s also a chance that enemies will drop this resource after battle, so don’t skip by them when searching. Unfortunately, all items in an area appear to be randomized, so you can’t count on finding Zinc Ore every time, even in the same spots, but this is by far the best place to go.

What is dragonsplague?

Dragonsplague is a special kind of disease that Pawns can contract seemingly by interacting with either Drakes or Dragons. That part isn't fully clear yet, however, we do know that Pawns with dragonsplague can spread the disease to other Pawns. Since Pawns are able to pass between worlds to join other players, you are never fully safe from being infected if you're playing online. Unlike a real sickness, though, dragonsplague actually transfers between Pawns rather than spreads, meaning it won't fully run rampant through the game.

One clue you have as to figuring this out is hidden in the Nameless Village, though not all is as it seems there. The first step will be, of course, reaching this unassuming little town. How to find the Nameless Village

Once you take this quest from Brant, a waypoint will be put on your map far to the east. Follow the general direction until you enter the zone where you need to start exploring to actually find it. If you follow the main road, you will find it blocked by a massive pile of boulders, forcing you to take a side path through the forest.

How to get the glider in Rise of the Ronin

The expanded open world of Rise of the Ronin is so big that not even a trusty horse and fast travel systemare quite enough to make traversal as fun and fast as needed. While it might seem a little fantastical, you won't complain about the inclusion of a glider once you get your hands on it and feel how freeing it is to soar above the rooftops and countryside. This has been a heavily marketed mechanic, and yet you can miss your first chance to get it if you don't explore a little before moving on with the main quest. Where to get the glider

The glider can be found only after you complete the first "big" mission in Rise of the Ronin called "Curtain Falls, Curtain Rises." The end of this quest will have you slay the boss and engage in a short dialogue with them. No matter what you pick, you will get both the papers you need to cross into Yokohama and a key to a storage room. You're not shown where that room is or even need to go there to continue, but missing it will mean losing out on glider access.
