Amazon cuts the price of Ecovacs Deebot 601 robotic vacuum by 50% for one day

Amazon’s 50% price cut for one day only on the Ecovacs Deebot 601 robotic vacuum enhanced app control got our attention. If you’re in the market for a new robot vacuum, this Amazon daily deal may get your attention, too. The deal expires at midnight tonight Pacific Time, so if you want it, grab the Deebot 601 while it’s available at this awesome price.

We usually don’t get excited about discounts for anything less than 30%. When we saw Amazon took 50% off the price of this well-regarded Ecovacs model, even though it’s just for one day, we were impressed. Whether you’re looking for a robot vacuum for a wedding gift or Father’s Day or if you want an Alexa and Google Home compatible robot vac to add to your smart home, this deal can help you save $190.

Ecovacs Deebot 601 with App Control — $190 off

The Deebot 601 senses floor surfaces and when it detects a hard floor, the robotic vacuum employs an optimized path for the most efficient and thorough cleaning. The smart vac can also tell when it encounters extra dirt or debris on hard floor and carpet that requires more suction power; when deeper cleaning is needed the Deebot 601 automatically switches to Max Mode for up to twice the Suction power.

Ecovacs’ 3-stage process uses two edge brushes and a V-shaped main brush to sweet, lift, and vacuum synchronously for efficient one-pass cleaning. The Deebot 601’s low-profile design, just under 4 inches high, allows the robot to move under furniture to clean dirt, dust, and debris that usually escapes regular cleaning.

Ecovacs refers to the Deebot 601 as”pet-friendly” for two reasons. The vacuum not only vacuums up pet hair, but it also operates with a low sound level so it won’t disturb pets with unsettling noises.

The Deebot 601 includes an infrared remote, which gives you four ways to control the robot vacuum. You can schedule the Deebot 601 to clean at specified days and times and choose from auto, one-room, and spot-cleaning modes with the remote or the Ecovacs mobile app.

You can also use the app, the remote, and Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands to stop, start, or send the robot vacuum back to its charging station. Ecovacs rates the Deebot 601 for up to 110 minutes of vacuuming per charge. Extensive use of Max Mode diminishes the running time. When the robot vacuum senses its battery power is running low, it automatically returns to the charging station.

The Deebot 601 senses objects in its path and falls (such as from stairs or room level changes), so it won’t damage your walls or furniture or injure itself.

Normally priced at $380, the Ecovacs Deebot 601 is half price or $190 only during this one-day sale. If you want an advanced robotic vacuum that you can control with a smartphone app or with either of the predominant smart home digital voice assistants, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of an awesome price.

Eureka shows off an innovative robot vacuum with a belt mopping system at CES 2024
A view of the bottom of the Eureka J20 robot vacuum.

When it comes to robot vacuums and mops, most models employ one of two methods to clean your floors -- a vibrating mop plate or spinning mop pads. Eureka is doing things a bit differently this year, as the team revealed the J20 Robotic Vacuum and Floor Washer at CES 2024, which uses an innovative new belt mop design.

The so-called RollRenew mopping system features a cycling belt mop, a dual water tank, and five water nozzles. As the robot rolls its mop across your floors, the nozzles will continuously spray water, cleaning up stains and soaking up spills. The dirty portion of the mop is then cleaned by a scraper located under the robot, forcing the dirty water into a wastewater reservoir.

Eufy shows off four security cameras and an upcoming robot vacuum
The Eufy X10 Pro Omni in a living room.

Eufy is a big name in the smart home space, and it had plenty of cool gadgets to show off at CES 2024. Along with giving consumers a closer look at four recently launched security cameras, Eufy revealed the X10 Pro Omni robot vacuum and mop, which looks to be an affordable alternative to flagships from Roborock and Ecovacs.

The X10 Pro Omni doesn't make any huge innovations in the world of robot vacuums. Most of its features we've already seen on other robots, such as its ability to empty its dustbin, clean its mop, then dry it to prevent the accumulation of mildew. It also boasts an avoidance system to ensure it's not bumping into any shoes, toys, or other items that have accidentally been left in its path. And while its 8,000 Pa of suction is impressive, it's a number a handful of other robots have already hit.

Ecovacs upgrades the X2 Omni robot vacuum with a cordless vacuum attachment
The Ecovacs X2 Combo installed in a home.

The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni was one of our favorite robot vacuums of 2023, and it's becoming even more enticing later this year. The all-new Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo, which debuted during CES 2024, takes everything that made the X2 Omni special and bundles it with a cordless vacuum attachment, making it the first whole-home vacuum system designed by Ecovacs.

There isn't much new about the X2 Omni robot vacuum, though it's perfectly fine in its current form. Offering 8,000 Pa of suction, a square design to better clean edges, and the ability to lift its mops while traveling on carpet, the X2 Omni received a glowing review from Digital Trends that found it to be one of the best robot vacuums. It also boasts a docking station that automates most of your daily chores -- including emptying its dustbin and washing its mop with hot water before drying it with warm air.
