The all-new Ring Stick Up Cam Pro is bringing some big innovations to one of Ring’s smallest cameras. While 3D Motion Detection has been a feature you can find on other Ring products, from the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 to the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, it will now be incorporated into the Stick Up Cam Pro, giving users bird’s-eye capabilities and improved motion performance. You’ll also be able to install the Stick Up Cam both indoors and outdoors, and can personalize the surveillance peripheral using the Ring app.

The Ring Stick-Up Cam Pro will sell for $180, and is available for preorder today.

The Blink Sync Module Pro is a revamped version of Blink’s Sync Module that delivers expanded Wi-Fi coverage for Blink Outdoor 4 cameras. The Sync Module Pro can also act as the cloud-based brain of your Blink ecosystem, allowing you to store footage on a microSD card (sold separately), which can be accessed via smartphone or computer.

For those interested in the aforementioned Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight, the Blink Sync Module Pro would be the perfect accessory to purchase alongside your new Blink camera.

Blink Outdoor 4 Battery Extension Pack

You’d think up to two years of battery life would be sufficient for most owners of the Outdoor 4, but Blink wants to push that to four years with this battery expansion pack, which will sell for $30 when it debuts on October 17. It clips on to your existing camera to make a sort of battery sandwich.

Matter gains support for kitchen appliances, adds new energy-tracking features

Matter received its big 1.2 update in late 2023, and now the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) is ready to officially roll out Matter 1.3. The full list of new device types supported by Matter 1.3 include microwave ovens, ovens, cooktops, extractor hoods (such as vent hoods), and laundry dryers. These aren't quite as exciting or mainstream as the nine device types introduced with Matter 1.2, but it's great to see the CSA continuing to broaden the reach of the Matter network.
