New Captain America trailer leaks online

Behold the power of the intertubes. Entertainment Tonight had originally planned to release this trailer online this Thursday, but it somehow found its way to the hungry eyeballs of fans before that, and so naturally it was everywhere within minutes.

The trailer below is the first full length trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, and is not to be confused with the teaser trailer released for the Super Bowl.

The film stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, the skinny kid that got sand kicked in his face before he was accepted into a military version of the Charles Atlas program. After being embiggened, Rogers dons the uniform and shiled, then heads out to kick Ratzi ass in the form of Hydra, led by the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).

Directed by Joe Johnston, look for Captain America: The First Avenger in theaters in 3D on July 22, 2011.

Apple wants your living room to sound like an F1 garage

Formula 1 is already loud enough to make a television shake, but Apple wants to make the experience even more immersive. Apple and Dolby are bringing Dolby Atmos audio to live Formula 1 coverage, starting with the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin later this month.

The upgrade is designed to make viewers feel closer to the action, with the roar of engines, squealing tyres and pit-lane activity getting a more immersive audio treatment. Apple is pairing the Atmos soundtrack with Dolby Vision, aiming to make its F1 coverage feel more like an event rather than something simply playing on a screen.

Apple TV’s next comedy drama has family drama, music, and plenty of familiar faces.

James Corden and Ruth Jones are finally working together again, and this time there's no seaside town or caravan park in sight. Apple TV just announced The Choir, an eight-episode comedy-drama marking the duo's first collaboration since Gavin & Stacey: The Finale wrapped as the UK's most-watched scripted show of 2024. The Choir series is already in production and set to premiere globally sometime in 2027.

Prime Video is the new home for the Emmys. It’s free for you, but Amazon paid a fortune.

Amazon has reportedly inked a six-year deal that runs to the tune of $120 million for bringing the awards show to its streaming platform.

The Emmys are coming to Amazon's Prime Video, and the esteemed awards ceremony will be available to watch for a global audience. Amazon has an exclusive deal with the Television Academy, which spans six years and marks the first time that the awards have found a single streaming or broadcasting hub for a worldwide audience, after years of a rotating model where the likes of ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC got the rights.

"Beginning with the 2027 ceremony, the star-studded event will continue to anchor the television season by airing live in September. In a major win for entertainment fans, the ceremony will not be behind a paywall; instead, the Emmy Awards will be free to view for audiences worldwide," says Amazon in a press statement.
