New Skyline trailer released

Image used with permission by copyright holder

The movie Skyline has been flying a bit under the radar so far. An early trailer was attached to Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, but beyond that, there doesn’t seem to be much buzz about this story of alien invasion. As the November release date approaches, that may change, and trailers like this one should definitely help.

Set in Los Angeles, Skyline follows a group of survivors following the introduction of a strange light that attracts people to it before sucking them up, whole populations at a time, which threatens to swallow the entire human population. The film is directed the Brothers Strause (Aliens Vs. Predators: Requiem), and it stars Eric Balfour (24), Scottie Thompson (Trauma) and Donald Faison (Scrubs).

Look for more trailers and news on this movie in the coming month, but for now check out the trailer and wait for the release on November 19.

The best sci-fi movies on Max right now
Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves as Bill and Ted in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

Max has a very good lineup of sci-fi movies right now, with one big drawback: It's stagnant. The science fiction movies that are on Max in March are the same ones that were there in February, and there haven't been any notable additions since. That's not very sustainable since some of the best sci-fi movies on Max are on loan from other studios. Eventually, those films will leave, and there's no guarantee that something better will come along.

In the meantime, we're throwing this month's spotlight on Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, the 1984 version of Dune, and the 2014 remake of Godzilla. For the rest of the best sci-fi movies on Max, just keep scrolling down.
