'Darksiders 3' leaked by Amazon, will star the whip-wielding Fury

Gunfire Games confirms 'Darksiders 3' is coming next year

Original publisher THQ and developer Vigil Games are no more, but the Darksiders franchise — and the four horsemen of the apocalypse — will still ride on. Darksiders 3 is indeed in development, and protagonist Fury mixes up the series’ signature combat and traversal with a whip straight out of Castlevania.

Darksiders 3 was officially confirmed by studio Gunfire Games as part of IGN’s “IGN First” series. Early in the morning of May 2, an Amazon listing was spotted which not only detailed the game’s characters and new features, but also included several beautiful screenshots that appear to be a significant improvement from the last-generation games, as well as their current-generation remasters. Still using the signature comic book-inspired art style that made the original games instantly recognizable, everything is given an appropriate amount of contemporary sheen, and the game’s dilapidated environments look as good as anything we’ve seen from the series before.

The original Darksiders focused on War, while its sequel starred the very entertaining Death. In Darksiders 3, we’ll play as Fury, a more agile mage-like character who uses a glowing red whip. She’ll have access to several different forms that grant her special weapons and abilities as she works to defeat the Seven Deadly Sins, and the listing also emphasizes “Metroidvania” elements, saying that Fury “moves back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the story.”

Darksiders 3 studio Gunfire Games is the same studio that previous handled Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition and Darksiders: Warmastered Edition. The studio is made up of ex-Vigil Games employees, who came together shortly after Vigil was disbanded. The team also released the Oculus Rift adventure RPG Chronos last year.

Darksiders 3 is planned to launch to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC at some point in 2018. It will take place “around the same time” as 2012’s Darksiders II, which also happened to take place during the events of the original Darksiders.

How to find the Mercenary Convoy

Your first challenge will be to find this Mercenary Convoy. The problem here is twofold: first is that it isn't marked on your map in any way, and second is that, being a convoy, it is mobile. Once you land, you and your team should find the nearest vehicle and head toward the center of the map. Depending on how the threat levels are on your particular map, you are looking for roads and highways that are around the medium-threat level zone. You will have to patrol these roads until you come across the convoy, which only consists of three vehicles. Once you are in range, it does appear on your map to let you know you've found it.

There are many different types of missions in Payday 3, but your overall goal remains consistent: make as much money as possible. Most profitable heists

Before looking at the heists themselves, it should be noted that every heist you do can be made more profitable by increasing the difficulty level. Obviously, this will also increase the challenge, and beyond the normal level, we would only recommend it if you have a good loadout and team of friends with you as opposed to joining up with random people online. If you're unprepared, it can also make heists take longer, which is another factor you will need to consider.
Road Rage
Road Rage is an early job you can attempt that is also the first one where there's no stealth option at all. You start this mission already masked up and on alert. The objective here is to break into an armored truck full of rare-earth elements that is set to cross the Queesnboro Bridge, which just so happens to be under construction. On normal difficulty, you can potentially between $200,000 and $500,000, but bump that up to Overkill and you can stand to walk away with $850,000 in a single job. You might wonder why this is the top when there are other jobs with higher potential payouts, but that's because this mission, once understood, can be done and dusted in 10 to 15 minutes.
