Is Diablo: Immortal cross-platform?

What, do you not own a phone? Jokes aside, Diablo: Immortal was thankfully spared the unfortunate fate of being a mobile exclusive game as it was originally intended to be at launch. While console players are still left out of the fun, you can at least choose to play this free title on either your smart device or PC. The PC and mobile platforms are quite different, with there being little debate over the fact that PC offers far better command over controllers, let alone touch controls.

For an action RPG, especially a free-to-play one, players will no doubt want to know if they can play with their friends regardless of what platform they choose to play it on. Beyond that, many will also want to know if Diablo: Immortal supports cross-progression as well, allowing them to bounce back and forth between the two platforms and pick up right where they left off. If you’re curious if Diablo: Immortal is cross-platform and has cross-progression, we’ve got the answers.

Yes, Diablo: Immortal offers full cross-platform play between the mobile and PC versions of the game. You are free to party up with companions with a mix of both PC and mobile players whenever you wish. Better yet, you don’t need to do anything to enable this functionality, as long as you are playing with a free battle.net account and not as a guest. The only small restriction is that you can only play with players on the same server as you.

Again, yes, Diablo: Immortal smartly lets you carry your progress from one platform to the next with no hassle. Just like with cross-platform play, all you need to do is log in to the game using the same battle.net account on your mobile and PC devices to carry all your progress over from one system to the other. You can now fight the hoards of the undead with whoever you want, wherever you want, with no fuss!

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 cross-platform?
A Baldur's Gate 3 character lights the way.

The biggest CRPG of the year, if not ever, promises a huge adventure that you are encouraged to play cooperatively with up to four friends. While online play is expected in the modern era, Baldur's Gate 3 surprisingly also supports split-screen co-op on every PC and PS5 as well, meaning you can run an entire campaign with a friend side-by-side. As great as all that is, the vast majority of people will likely want to play with a friend in the comfort of their own homes, which might mean a PC player and a PS5 player will want to team up. Is that possible in Baldur's Gate 3? Here's a quick rundown of this game's cross-platform support.
Is Baldur's Gate 3 cross-platform?

In short, no, Baldur's Gate 3 will not allow for cross-platform play. If you are playing on PC, then anyone you want to play online with will also need to be on PC, and the same is true for PS5. While this is true for now, it is possible that Larian Studios may add cross-platform play in a future update, but for now, it is safer to assume it won't come and make your purchasing decision accordingly.

Best talents to unlock in Immortals of Aveum
A player blasts an enemy with magic spells in Immortals of Aveum.

Jak is special in the world of Immortals of Aveum. He's one of the few who can wield all three types of magic -- red, blue, and green -- and you will be swapping between them on the fly as you fight through the fantastical lands of Aveum in the Everwar. As talented as Jak is naturally, he has a lot to learn. The more you explore and fight, the more experience you gain, and the sooner you can begin unlocking more talents via a skill tree that will look familiar to anyone who has played RPGs in the past. Whether or not you're comfortable with the layout, the issue always remains the same: figuring out which talents are worth investing in and which are better skipped over. Here are the best talents you should put your points into in Immortals of Aveum.
Best talents to unlock
The skill tree in Immortals of Aveum is broken into three sections, each related to the three colors of magic you have access to. However, a skill in the green tree, for example, doesn't necessarily mean it will only benefit you when using that sigil. Here are the most versatile and best skills you should work toward unlocking in each branch.
Red

Gathering Chaos: This skill has two benefits. First is that it makes all red sigil attacks deal 10% more damage, and it also makes every kill you get with it create a stack that increases your red magic power by 50 for 8 seconds. You can stack it up to five times, meaning you can get a huge 250 power bonus if you chain your kills.

Is Remnant 2 cross-platform?
Three characters shoot at a boss in Remnant 2.

Aside from the focus on firearms and integrating some randomly generated environments, the Remnant series sets itself apart from other souls-like games mainly with its focus on co-op. Both titles encourage you to team up with two friends to fight your way through the mutated monsters that await. After so many years of progress in terms of multiplatform games incorporating full cross-platform support, you might assume Remnant 2 will follow suit and let you make a group with anyone regardless of what platform they're on. However, the truth may be a bit more disappointing. Before you make plans with your squad, here's what you need to know about Remnant 2's cross-platform support.
