Is T-Mobile prepping a promotion for Samsung Galaxy devices in the very near future? Based on a leaked internal memo, that appears to be the case, reports TmoNews.

The memo hints that starting on May 13, buying a qualified Samsung Galaxy smartphone and tablet will net customers a $100 T-Mobile pre-paid MasterCard. Eligible phones include the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 4, and the Galaxy Note Edge. Meanwhile, eligible tablets include the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0.

Before you rush out to your local T-Mobile store to take advantage of the deal, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, while you won’t have to buy both devices on the same day, you will need to purchase the second device within 30 days of  your first device purchase. Both devices must be paid for with an equipment installment plan (EIP).

In addition, the second device must be activated with a postpaid rate plan, such as T-Mobile’s “Best Tablet Plan in Wireless” plan. This plan, which goes for $10 a month, allows tablet owners on T-Mobile to have the same amount of data as they do for their T-Mobile smartphone each month, up to 5GB.

With all of that in mind, interested customers will need to mail their receipts, make sure both devices are active on T-Mobile’s network, and be up-to-date on their EIP payments. Within eight weeks, customers should receive their $100 pre-paid cards.

The memo didn’t reveal how those cards will be sent out, nor did it say when the promotion will end. However, it does state the promotion will be for a limited time only, and since the memo reveals the promotion starts tomorrow, we should see T-Mobile announce it either today or tomorrow morning.

In the market for a new phone? You might be considering the latest offering from Samsung, which includes the Galaxy S24. It’s the entry level model for the S24 lineup, but still packs great performance and power with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and 8GB RAM, a beautiful LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. And even though it’s a base model, you get a triple lens camera system.

But the Galaxy S24 isn’t the only option you have out there. Here are five great alternatives to consider if you’re thinking about the S24.

The pink Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus lying on a pillow.

Samsung started rolling out its One UI 6.1 update last week, bringing its Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S23 series and other Galaxy phones and tablets. Unfortunately, it looks like the update is doing more harm than good.

Over the last couple of days, there have been seemingly endless reports of One UI 6.1 wreaking havoc for Galaxy S23 owners — including everything from unresponsive touchscreens, fingerprint sensors not working, and more.
