Dysons have a tendency to be viewed as top-of-the-line vacuums because of their power and design. This year’s Amazon Prime Day 2021 date, which is set on June 21 and June 22, could be your best opportunity to score the ultimate cleaning machine. Read on to find out what you can expect in this year’s Prime Day Dyson deals.

What Prime Day Dyson deals to expect

When it comes to Prime Day deals, Dyson tends to focus on vacuums, though you might also find deals on air purifiers and other Dyson products. Dyson has a vacuum designed for every need — and there’s no reason that many of them won’t be on sale as part of the Prime Day deals.

There is a main division with Dyson vacuums: Cordless versus corded. At the higher end of the cordless options, look for deals on the Dyson V11 Torque Drive, the Dyson V11 Outsize, the Dyson V8 Absolute, and the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute. These are all heavy-duty vacuums, with motors featuring V8 power and charging times as long as 3.5 hours.

Looking past cordless options, you should keep an eye open for the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2, which is a little cheaper and a little heavier but features a washable filter so you don’t need to purchase replacements. Also, there’s the Dyson Ball Animal 2, specifically designed to handle pet hair. Or, if you’re looking to regularly clean bigger spaces or take on heavier-duty jobs, scour Prime Day Dyson deals for a sale on the Dyson Big Ball Multi Floor canister vacuum, which has a 0.47-gallon capacity and a 21-foot cord and is hugely powerful.

What Prime Day Dyson deals we saw last year

Last year’s Prime Day Dyson sales really ran the gamut. In the cordless area, we saw the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute discounted by $150, down to just $400. Of course, that’s still pricey for a vacuum, but Dyson is better known for the build of its products, and those products’ efficacy, than for its affordability. This is a top-tier cordless model with fantastic battery power. And then there was an even bigger discount ($200) on the Dyson V11 Torque Drive vacuum. Unfortunately, the starting price was also formidable with this model: $600. That said, this vacuum is often named among the very best overall vacuums in its class, and it’s one we love.

Outside the cordless category, we saw the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 vacuum reduced by $50 and on sale for $350. This isn’t an amazing discount, but there’s the washable filter feature, which means you’ll save more money by not having to replace parts.

Should you buy a new Dyson on Prime Day?

There will be some excellent opportunities to take advantage of Prime Day Dyson deals, so it absolutely makes sense to buy one on Prime Day, with two caveats: that you need one and can afford one. Check out our guide to the best Dyson vacuums to help you find the right one for you.

If you’ve been looking at Dyson vacuums and have already made the decision to purchase one, there will be no better time than Amazon Prime Day. In the past, we’ve compared sales on Prime Day and Black Friday and found few significant differences in the discounts offered. This is to say, if you’re thinking of holding off until Black Friday to snag your Dyson vacuum, don’t bother; all you’re gaining is six months without a great vacuum.

For those who are on the fence and are just hoping to stumble on a fantastic deal this Prime Day, we suggest some caution. Assign a budget to your new vacuum and stick to that budget. Also, make sure that if you’re pulling the trigger on Prime Day, it’s on a vacuum that is deeply discounted. The last thing you want is to overspend on a vacuum that was only a few percent off. A safe range to aim for is 20% minimum.
