The best legends in Apex Legends Mobile

Taking elements from hero shooters, Apex Legends introduced a cast of unique characters that filled different roles, with their own set of skills to make your knowledge of the roster and team compositions just as much a factor as your ability to pop heads. Apex Legends Mobile starts off with a smaller starting roster of Legends than the main title, but it’s just as complex a battle royale.

However, just like in any shooter where each character has their own suite of abilities and situational strengths and weaknesses, nothing can be perfectly balanced. Some Legends, intentionally or not, are just plain better than others. Looking at every Legend in Apex Legends Mobile so far, assuming you’re playing in a squad, we’ve come up with what are the top-tier Legends in the game.

Lifeline is one of the OG Legends and makes her return to kick off the roster in Apex Legends Mobile. Just like in the console and PC version, she’s no doubt the best support Legend that every squad will want backing them up. Sure, you won’t be out there pulling off crazy stunts and racking up the highest kill count, but those kinds of plays wouldn’t happen without a Lifeline ready to keep that reckless attacker alive. For our money, any Legend that every squad wants in their comp has to be one of the best. Thanks to her Passive Combat Medic drone, she can revive both downed teammates at once, which can take your team from the brink of defeat to victory in a single swing, plus use her Tactical Heal Drone to heal up her squad while fighting, letting everyone keep on the offensive and not have to take cover to use healing items. And, of course, her Ultimate Care Package always brings in high-level loot right to your feet for a (mostly) risk-free way to gear up in a hurry.

A top-tier defensive pick is good old Gibraltar. This Legend ranks below Lifeline for us, not because they’re necessarily worse — and, in fact, could be better — but because of the wide range they can fall into. That range is ultimately determined by how synced up and cooperative you are with your team. He’s quite tanky thanks to his passive Gun Shield that pops up a barrier in front of him while aiming down sights, but his Tactical Dome that drops a full shield for the entire team is his real game-changing ability. This gives your entire team a moment to breathe and replenish health and shields, even when caught in the open and would otherwise just be picked off. Unlike Lifeline, though, Gibraltar can still do some serious damage with his Ultimate. Tossing out a targeted missile strike is a very versatile ability. Obviously, it can be used to wipe teams but also flush people out of cover or cover your own team’s retreat.

Getting even more mechanically complex, we hit Caustic. This Legend definitely won’t suit everyone’s tastes, but if you like close-quarters combat, he’s just as effective an attack Legend as he is defensive. His Passive lets him see any enemies that are within his gas, which is strong but obviously only works in tandem with his two other abilities rather than all the time like most other Legends. You can place up to six Nox Gas Traps down at once that are triggered via proximity and will damage anyone caught inside. His Ultimate is a little boring, just being a Nox Gas Grenade that spreads more Nox over a wide area, but it can be used more aggressively than the traps. If your team tends to stick to more confined areas, Caustic’s area denial and awareness he gets from his passive will give you a massive edge on any enemy team.

Our only Tracker-type Legend to make the list is Bloodhound. Not only is this a fantastic pick for any team, but it’s also considered one of the easier Legends in the game for new players to start off with. His abilities are all good, but not overly complex or hard to utilize. As long as you’re communicating effectively with your team, almost anyone can pick up this Legend and contribute. While his skills themselves aren’t exactly versatile or directly offensive or defensive, the information you get and how you and your team capitalize on it is where Bloodhound either becomes the MVP or a dud. As a Passive, Bloodhound can see tracks on the ground from enemy players who recently passed by, letting you either pursue for a potential ambush or avoid the conflict. You can follow that up with his Eye of the Allfather to send out a directional pulse that shows you all players, traps, and buildings in your cone of vision. Once you’ve got all the intel gathered, you can pop his Beast of the Hunt Ultimate to buff his speed and senses to lead the assault.

Octane’s place on this list really comes down to the type of person playing him. Yes, in the right hands he is perhaps the most deadly Legend to fight head on in the game, but that ultra-aggressive playstyle can make him a liability to the squad if pushed too hard. To be fair, all of this Legend’s strengths encourage that push-forward mentality, but again, that can lead to your team having to pick up the pieces if things go wrong. Octane’s Passive is Swift Mend, which is amazing. This gives him a small, automatic health regen over time, which might be the best passive in the game. His Tactica, Stim, inflicts a bit of damage to use but gives you a massive speed buff for a limited time, and Launch Pad, his Ultimate, is his only way to contribute to the whole team by dropping a platform down that can launch players super high to quickly traverse, escape, or just reposition around the map. However, this pad isn’t exclusive to your team, and enemies can take advantage of it too.

This one is most likely to change since Fade is brand new to Apex Legends Mobile and hasn’t been fully integrated into the new meta yet, but so far, it looks quite promising. Fade is all about speed and outmaneuvering your opponents. His passive is Slipstream, which gives him an extra speed boost when coming out of a slide, and his Tactical is almost like a Tracer skill. Flashback teleports Fade two seconds back in time to that position on the map, reloads your current gun, and makes you invulnerable while it’s happening. For an Ultimate, you have Phase Chamber. When used, you create an explosion that brings anyone inside into a void dimension where movement is slowed and no one can deal damage to anyone else. There’s a lot of potential with Fade, but he also seems to be more technical, putting him near the bottom for the time being.

Finally, Wraith is another highly played offensive Legend that is still one of the best of her class. She isn’t quite as overpowered as Caustic on her own but is just as hard to wield, landing her on the bottom of the list right now. Again, in the right hands, Wraith could be considered the absolute top-tier Legend, but she also has one of the highest potentials to be used incorrectly and backfire hard on your squad. Her Passive is simple and lets you know if an enemy is aiming down their sights at you, and the Into the Void Tactical is a nice way to dip into the void to go invisible and either escape danger or launch an ambush, but it is generally a more selfish ability. Her Ultimate has the most risk and reward. The Dimensional Rift creates an entry and exit rip in space that anyone, friend or foe, can use to warp from one place on the map to another. In the right hands, this can be a lifesaver, either to escape a losing situation or get your team to a clutch flanking position. On the other hand, a bad rift placement can wipe your team just as easily.

Murphy is far more than a man in RoboCop: Rogue City. His robotic and cybernetic enhancements have made him the perfect crime-fighting machine, or so we thought. As it turns out, there is a lot of room for upgrades in your new body and multiple ways to invest your points. The tree is broken down into eight different categories, and each one has three unique perks sprinkled in that give you new and powerful abilities. Or rather, some of them do. Depending on how you want to dispense justice, there are plenty of skills that will be a complete waste of time to get. Before you go on your quest to serve the public trust, protect the innocent, and uphold the law, make sure you know the best skills to unlock in RoboCop: Rogue City.
Best skills to unlock

The skill tree in RoboCop: Rogue City is broken into the following eight categories: Combat, Armor, Vitality, Engineering, Focus, Scanning, Deduction, and Psychology. There are 10 slots in each, with perks unlocking at the second, sixth, and final slots. Note that once a skill point is invested, you cannot change your mind later.
You may be in a shiny metallic body, but you aren't invincible. Especially in the early game, you will find yourself a bit less tanky than you expect. Thankfully all you need to do is pump two points into the Armor tree to get the Shield ability. Once active, you reduce all incoming damage by 80%. If you're digging that feeling, you can even go to the next perk which is High Damage Reduction. This is a passive skill that automatically cuts explosive and high-caliber weapon damage by 25%. There's no need to max out this tree since Deflect isn't all that useful in the long run.
Fuse Boxes Recovery
Taking less damage is great, but what about when you need to heal? The first perk in Vitality makes Fuse Boxes healing items that restore 50% of your health, plus increases how many OCP Recovery Charges you can store up to 4. Depending on how difficult you find the game, you can continue down to basically get a better version of this skill that makes Fuse Boxes restore all your health and cap your Recovery Charges at 5, or invest all the way and unlock Auto Regeneration to passively restore HP up to 75%.
You're a walking tank, but that doesn't mean you have to move like one. Dash unlocks on the second node of the Engineering tree and gives you, well, a dash! You can use it to slam into enemies, get into or out of cover, or just maneuver around however you need. Movement in RoboCop: Rogue City is a bit clunky, so this makes combat far more responsive.
Enhanced Learning
This will be a skill you need to spend a lot of time investing in the Deduction tree to get but should be done as early as possible if you're going to go for it. Enhanced Learning increases all XP gain by 30%, thus making all future skills easier to get. Plus you will get Enhanced Scanning and Enhanced Map on the way, which make doing side missions and gathering items around the map way easier.

Development nodes are rewarded in stacks by reaching each of the 20 Milestone levels in Cities Skylines 2. Once you have some points, you can distribute them as you see fit among the 11 categories in the Progression menu.
Roads are like the skeleton of your city; without a strong road structure, the entire thing will fall apart. It almost feels cruel that the advanced roads services node isn't a default option, but that just means you need to get it ASAP. This node allows you to manage traffic with basic functions like traffic lights, road signs, and crosswalks. You do need to place all of these down yourself, and while you can get by for a little while in the early game before your population gets too big, traffic will become a nightmare and productivity will slow to a crawl if you ignore it.

The Dark Place and Cultists in Alan Wake 2 may be dark and twisted manifestations of an evil force, but once you shed away the darkness, everything will fall into your arsenal of firearms. Neither Alan nor FBI agent Saga are exactly equipped with the firepower you'd want when wandering through the haunted woods and mind-bending Dark Place, but they can make do with what they have in clever ways. Saga specifically is skilled enough to upgrade all the weapons in her inventory to better protect herself against the supernatural threats that stalk her. Upgrades don't come cheap, and if you find all the weapons in the game, you will need to make some tough calls on how you improve them. Here are the upgrades you need to see the final chapter of Alan Wake 2's story.
How weapon upgrades work

You can upgrade your weapons whenever you like in Alan Wake 2 by visiting Saga's Mind Place. Any weapon you have is available to upgrade there, provided you have the required amount of manuscript fragments that you collect from the hidden Luncboxes around the map. These are distinct from the Cult Stashes, so be on the lookout for them since you will need to find quite a few before you can afford even the first upgrade.

More Bullets
Your starting pistol may not be the most flashy gun in Alan Wake 2, but it is always reliable and it never stops being effective. The first upgrade you should get has to be More Bullets. This will increase the pistol's default magazine size from 12 to 18. This will obviously make it easier and safer to deal with encounters since you won't be caught reloading as often but also helps keep your inventory clean since less space will be taken up for ammo.
Another Headshot
For another pistol upgrade, Another Headshot is very powerful if you're a sharpshooter. If you can score two headshots in a row, the unlucky Cultist will be stunned for a comically long time. That gives you plenty of time to either deal free damage, heal, or just run away if you're low on resources and not prepared for a fight.
Ready for More
The best shotgun upgrade is easily Ready for More. Healing is not only a limited resource, which again takes up inventory space but also a somewhat long animation. If you're in a tight situation and on the verge of death, there usually isn't much you can do. Ready for More can bail you out since it will turn any kill you get with the shotgun into a bit of healing. It isn't a huge amount, but every bit makes a difference.
Two Shots
The Crossbow may be a late-game addition to your toolset, but is absolutely worth saving some manuscript fragments to upgrade ASAP. Two Shots is borderline essential, making it so you can fire twice rather than just once before needing to reload.
Magnetic Pull
Magnetic Pull could be the best upgrade in the game. With it, after you skewer an enemy with a bolt, switching to another gun will make those bullets track to the bolt for guaranteed hits. If you're comfortable swapping weapons on the fly, this is satisfying and efficient.
