Play Ubisoft’s RPG-racer The Crew a month early in the November beta

Ubisoft’s open-world driving game The Crew is set  for a closed console beta that will run from November 6 through 10. This will be the fourth and final beta test before the game’s December 2, 2014 release.

The Crew distinguishes itself by having the entire United States as a seamless, open-world playground, taking roughly 45 minutes of real time to drive from coast to coast. The beta will allow players to explore the entire country and complete challenges in two out of five regions: the East Coast and Midwest. Multiplayer lobbies for those regions will also be open for those that want to test their skills against other humans.

How to get free Dupli-Kate skin in Fortnite – All quests and rewards
Dupli-Kate skin in Fortnite

Fortnite has dominated the battle royale genre since its launch in 2017, growing into a cultural behemoth that keeps players engaged with its ever-changing island and inventive in-game events. Epic Games has mastered the art of keeping its enormous community engaged by battling it out in lively POIs and cooperating on creative challenges. Among its most popular services are in-game quest events, which combine cooperative gaming with enticing rewards, converting casual players into dedicated questers.

These events, which are sometimes linked to seasonal releases or high-profile collaborations, have become a pillar of Fortnite's popularity, giving anything from exclusive emotes to highly sought-after cosmetic goods. The most recent example is the Spring Raid event, which began on March 14, 2025, and has sparked enthusiasm among players, attracting squads ready to take on its challenges and capture its rewards. The event is in full swing, with participants coming together to complete its objectives, motivated by the prospect of loot and the excitement of collaboration. This time, Epic has upped the ante by incorporating a crossover with the popular animated series Invincible, featuring a fan-favorite character in the rewards selection - Dupli-Kate.

Razer wants to fight gaming’s AI problem with more AI
Sam Altman at The Age of AI Panel, Berlin.

Razer has partnered with Sam Altman's World to help distinguish real players from bots in multiplayer experiences. Bots in multiplayer games are nothing new; in fact, many games benefit from giving players AI-controlled bots to play against when there aren't enough human players to fill a server. However, bots can also be too skilled and nearly impossible to defeat, or worse: they could be farming bots that do nothing but spam the game and ruin player experiences.

Razer ID verified by World ID is designed to designate users as humans and provide assurance that you're playing against another person, rather than a bot. It's built on the World Network, an existing blockchain system that uses iris scans to verify identity.
