ESO High Isle: Where to find Volcanic Vents, rewards, more

The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle is now available on all platforms, giving adventurers a new story to unravel, new characters to meet, and a new region to explore. But if you’re looking for something a bit more free form than High Isle’s lengthy main quest, consider checking out some Volcanic Vents.

These new encounters spring up spontaneously throughout the land, offering intense battles that give nearby players a reason to drop what they’re doing and lend their swords, staves, and bows to the action. Before diving into the fray, here’s what you need to know about Volcanic Vents in ESO.

What are Volcanic Vents

Volcanic Vents are a new world event introduced in The Elder Scrolls: High Isle. These put you up against a variety of enemies before finally going against a deadly boss. Complete the challenge, and you’ll be rewarded with a Volcanic Cache — a treasure chest loaded with loot.

There’s a good bit of lore to discover about Volcanic Vents, as the game gives you a chance to work with Stonelore druids to figure out why these disturbances keep cropping up. Volcanic Vents are also specific to High Isle and Amenos, meaning you won’t be able to find them in other regions of Tamriel (and you’ll need to have purchased the High Isle Chapter to access them). And while it’s possible to solo a Volcanic Vent, you’ll get the best experience if other nearby players join in or if you tackle them with a large group.

Where to find Volcanic Vents

There are seven Volcanic Vents scattered throughout the Systres Archipelago. Four of them are located on High Isle, while three more are buried deep in the jungles of Amenos. Once discovered, they’ll appear on your map as tiny whirlpool icons.

Keep in mind that Volcanic Vents aren’t always active. However, one of the seven is typically active at all times. To find which one is currently active, check your map for a whirlpool icon with crossed swords. This indicates an active vent and one that you’ll want to head towards immediately.

How to complete Volcanic Vents

Volcanic Vents work like most other world events in ESO. When a vent becomes active, the location will be overrun with enemies. Ideally, you’ll have a bunch of other players gathered nearby to help slay the fire-based beasts. Once you’ve cleared out several waves of smaller enemies, you’ll go up against a semi-random boss — although they’re likely to feature some sort of fiery moveset.

There’s no special trick to completing Volcanic Vents. Simply work as a team to bring down the enemies as fast as you can. You’ll also need to look out for fire hazards, which will be indicated on the ground by a giant red circle. If you can boost your fire resistance with gear or other items, you’ll have a better chance of surviving the event.

Clearing mobs is the easiest part of Volcanic Vents. But once you’re up against a boss, it helps to have a bit of a strategy. This will vary depending on the specific boss ESO throws your way, but most bosses can be taken down using the following basic strategy:

  • If you’re a melee player, never stop hammering away at the boss. If they signal an incoming attack (identified by a red circle), roll out of harm’s way, then move back in to continue the assault.
  • If you’re a ranged player, focus on both picking off any remaining mobs and attacking the boss. Also keep an eye on any healers in your group, as they might need some help fending off enemies.
  • If you’re a healer, keep spamming your skills on your melee companions. You’ll probably need to stay mobile, as smaller enemies love to target you during this final phase.

After bringing down the final boss, you’ll be rewarded with a Volcanic Cache. These offer a variety of goodies, including Tales of Tribute deck fragments, gear, high-level crafting components, and more.

All Legendary Schematics in Palworld and where to find them

Despite featuring all the various types of Pals in Palworld so heavily, they are not actually the most effective way to fight. Sure, they will help you out, and a Legendary can certainly pull its weight in a battle, but you will mostly be relying on your own character to do the work. This is what makes crafting new weapons and armor so important. Most of these you can access simply by leveling up and getting the required materials to make them, but the best of the best can only be made after finding their schematics. If you want only the top-tier gear in Palworld, then you will be hunting for the Legendary Schematics. These will give you access to a range of otherwise unobtainable weapons and armor that can make you all but invincible. Here is how you can get these blueprints for yourself in Palworld.
All Legendary Schematics

There are only nine Legendary Schematics in Palworld, with six dedicated to weapons and the remaining three for armor. Each one is a drop from a specific Alpha Pal in the open world. Note that you are not guaranteed a Legendary Schematic drop. These are rare, probably below 10%, so you will almost certainly have to repeat these battles to get the schematics. Here is a list of your targets and where to find them.
Crossbow Legendary Schematic
The crossbow upgrade boosts your attack to 490 and can be picked up by defeating the level 23 Bushi. It is located at coordinates 1116, 491.
Handgun Legendary Schematic
The Legendary handgun completely transforms the nearly useless base model by upping its attack to 625. Get it by defeating the level 29 Beakon at coordinates 345, -253.
Assault Rifle Legendary Schematic
Who doesn't love the Assault Rifle? Make it deal 560 damage after taking down a level 49 Blazmut waiting at coordinates 434, 532.
Old Bow Legendary Schematic
If you want a bow that smacks enemies with 247 damage arrows, you need to grind out Kingpaca at coordinates 50, -460.
Pump-Action Shotgun Legendary Schematic
If you're a fan of CQC, the shotgun schematic will buff your damage to 385. Suzaku will hold it and is a level 45 Pal found at coordinates 404, 255.
Rocket Launcher Legendary Schematic
Look, sometimes you just need a problem-solver. A Rocket Launcher dealing 14,000 damage can't be argued with in that regard. You'll have to take on the level 50 Jetragon at coordinates 788, 320.
Cloth Armor Legendary Schematic
Not quite on the level as the following two, this schematic is great for the mid game with 112 HP, 24 Defense, and 250 Durability. You only need to beat a level 11 Chillete at coordinates 175, -420.
Pal Metal Helmet Legendary Schematic
This shiny new helmet offers 560 HP, 1,200 Durability, and 240 Defense. Grab it early to make getting the rest of the schematics easier, but you will have to overcome level 50 Frostallion at coordinates -355, 55.
Heat and Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor Legendary Schematic
Both the Legendary Heat and Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor drop from the same target. Both have equal stats and give 1,200 HP, 11,000 Durability, and 400 Defense. And, of course, they resist hot and cold weather respectively. You will need to take down the level 50 Paladius up north at coordinates 445, 680.

Where to find the Black Marketeer in Palworld

There are five different Black Marketeers to find hidden in the wilds of Palworld. They are all well-hidden, and some you won't be able to reach until later in the game, but thankfully all seem to buy and sell the same stock at the same prices. Note that they do have a limited stock of items for sale, but will refresh if you leave and come back after some time.

From the Desolate Church fast travel point, head west to find the Abandoned Mineshaft location. Venture into the mine and you will run into the first Black Marketeer dead ahead.

Where to find the secret cave in Fortnite
