How to turn off notifications on PS5

Here's how to turn notification off on your PS5. Of course, you can also use this method to turn any back on at a later time.

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings icon on your PS5 home screen, which looks like a gear and can be found at the top right of the screen.

Step 3: You can now turn toggle off all pop-up notifications by clicking X on Allow Pop-Up Notifications if you'd like all notifications to be stopped indefinitely. However, in the next step, we'll detail how you can customize which alerts you see.

Step 4: Scroll through the various options in this menu to choose which notifications appear, and you can even decide if you'd like to only block notifications during specific times, such as when you're streaming or watching videos. You also can decide if you'd like to see when friends come online and can even decide which friends you'll receive notifications for. Don't forget to toggle whether you want to see notifications for game invitations, friend requests, and trophy unlocks, too.

Best PS5 SSD deals: Add more storage to your PS5 from $125

The base PlayStation 5 tends to have a slightly small internal storage when you consider that so many modern games can easily go over 100GB, especially if you're looking at AAA titles. That means that the slightly under 900GBs of storage you get can easily fill up with a dozen games, thereby creating a complicated game of Jenga where you try and move things around to fit everything. Luckily, there is a solution, and while the PS5 didn't originally have any SSDs you could plug in, there have been a lot of excellent SSDs for the PS5 that have come out since then.

To that end, we've collected some of our favorite SSD deals below. That said, if you haven't picked up a PS5 yet, be sure to check out these excellent PS5 deals, and if you already own one, maybe check out these PS5 game deals to expand your library.

Best PlayStation Plus Deals: Save on Essential, Plus and Premium

The PlayStation 5, much like the PlayStation 4 before it, is a very popular gaming console, but it does require a subscription service to have access to online multiplayer, unlike a gaming PC where that's not necessary. To that end, Sony created the PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscription service, with various tiers giving you different rewards and includes the basic subscription tier, which also adds new games every month for you to check out for free. Besides the basic Essential tier, there is also the Extra and Premium tiers, both of which have a couple of extra add-ons that might be worth grabbing. While you're here, be sure also to check out these excellent PS5 game deals and PlayStation deals that include some great games and accessories you can get for a great price.
What is PlayStation Plus?
Along with online multiplayer and other in-game network features, a PlayStation Plus Essential membership grants you access to exclusive discounts and other promotions. Perhaps the most notable benefit of PlayStation Plus is that every month, Sony gives subscribers one PlayStation 5 and two PlayStation 4 games that are free to download. You have one month to add these free PlayStation Plus games to your library.

After that, these titles are yours to keep so long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. The free-to-download games are generally pretty good (they are often some of the best PS4 games that have been out for a little while), and these alone justify the cost of PS Plus even for people who don't do a lot of online gaming.

How to high five in XDefiant
So, we've covered how giving a high five is a great way to show appreciation to a teammate for a job well done, but what if we told you that high fives in XDefiant aren't actually, well, high fives? Strangely enough, you won't be actually handing out high fives, but rather thumbs-up sthat are, for whatever reason, called "high fives."
