How to clear a bounty in Starfield

Bethesda RPGs are known for letting you play however you want, and Starfield is no different. You can be the honorable hero who upholds the law, or a cutthroat criminal who does whatever they please to make some Credits. It's all up to you, but nothing you do goes unnoticed. Whether you're intentionally running around causing trouble, get caught trying to be sneaky, or simply hit a button on accident that draws the eye of the law, there's bound to be a point where you get a bounty put on your head. If you want to get a clean slate in Starfield, you can always pay off your bounty yourself to avoid any negative consequences. Here's the proper way to pay off your debt.

How to clear your bounty

Whatever way you get a bounty, there are two main ways to clear it. If a guard notices your crime, they will immediately stop you and give you the option to pay the fine and avoid jail time then and there. If not, you will need to go to a specific spot to clean your record. Since going to jail will drain some XP, you obviously don't want to do that if possible.

Step 1: With a bounty, travel to Akila City.

Step 2: Immediately inside the town, you will see the Hitching Post building on your right.

Step 3: In the back right will be two kiosks, one of which is called the Self-Service Bounty Clearance kiosk.

Step 4: Interact with it and you will see any bounty you currently have and the option to pay it off.

Fetch quests are quite played out in RPGs, but Baldur's Gate 3 manages to put a unique spin on the tired old formula in the "Rescue the Trapped Man" quest. There are several ways you can go about getting clues to help you find the missing valuables, however, not all of them will be obvious or available to your character depending on their class and abilities. How to find Benryn and Mirileth's dowry

This quest begins by finding the man named Benryn in Waukeen's Rest, which is notably ablaze when you arrive. He is inside the house closest to the fast travel point, and trapped under a large wooden log. Pass either an Intelligence or Strength check to lead him out of the fire and save his life. Even though you saved him, Benryn will have another favor to ask you, which is to locate his wife, Mirileth. The two had an argument about the dowry and he doesn't know where it is. Unfortunately, finding Mirileth won't help much as she has passed away, so you now have to find the dowry yourself.

Among the dozens of ships you can find, buy, steal, and even create yourself in Starfield, there's one that stands out as one of the best you can get without spending hours designing one yourself with the best weapons and parts. How to get the Narwhal

The Narwhal is sold at Taiyo Astroneering inside of the Ryujin Industries building on Neon. Neon is a major hub city, but if you haven't been there yet or need a refresher, it is inside the Volli system to the right of Olympus. Once on Neon, find the big red Ryujin Industries building on the promenade and head to the elevator in the back. Select the Yaiyo Astroneering floor, which is one level above the Lobby, and go up to the right into the Show Room. Speak with Veronica and ask to see what she's got for sale.
