Paramount+ reveals Peak Screaming programming for Halloween

It seems like all of the major streaming services are announcing their plans for Halloween horror programming. Earlier this month, Disney+ and Hulu announced Hallowstream and Huluween, then Peacock unearthed Halloween Horror, and now it’s Paramount+‘s turn to unveil its annual Peak Screaming lineup. Officially, Peak Screaming begins today on Paramount+, but the biggest event is coming in just over two weeks when Monster High 2 and the South Korean thriller Bargain premiere on Thursday, October 5. The new Pet Sematary prequel film, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, will premiere the following day on Friday, October 6.

The vast majority of the 400-plus horror movies on Peak Screaming are preexisting titles, but part of the event includes new curated lists including the following examples presented below, Note that titles with asterisks (*) are only available on the Paramount+ with Showtime tier.

1923 season 2: Paramount+ announces premiere date, unveils teasers

Yellowstone might be ending, but the spinoffs are going strong. Paramount+ announced that 1923 season 2 will premiere on Sunday, February 23. Accompanying the announcement are two teasers and a series of photos that preview what's to come in 1923.

In the first teaser, Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar) begins his journey home to Montana, stressing that he must hurry because his family is in danger. The second teaser features Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) fighting to protect their ranch. "Our way of life is under attack. I'm asking you to protect them," Jacob says as he readies for battle against his enemies.

Smile 2 streaming release date announced at Paramount+

Paramount+ is adding some horror to the holiday season. Smile 2 will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ starting Tuesday, December 3.

The announcement could not come at a better time. In honor of Cyber Monday, Paramount+ is offering discounts on the Essential plan and Paramount+ with Showtime. Both plans only cost $3 per month for the first two months. Starting in the third month, Essential, the ad-supported plan, moves to $8 per month, and Paramount+ with Showtime, the commercial-free tier, increases to $13 per month. This special deal ends on December 4.
