Zack Snyder’s Justice League finally has its first trailer

Zack Snyder’s Justice League | Official Teaser | HBO Max

It’s only going to take four years and a controversial fan campaign to happen, but Zack Snyder will finally bring his vision for Justice League to audiences in 2021 — and now the appropriately titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League has its first, official trailer.

Snyder premiered the trailer August 22 during the DC FanDome event, a virtual comic convention of sorts with online panels dedicated to various projects featuring DC Comics characters. During the Justice League panel, Snyder recounted the long road to the screen his preferred cut of the film has taken — a journey that will culminate in Zack Snyder’s Justice League premiering on HBO Max next year.

The fifth installment of Warner Bros. Pictures’ live-action DC Extended Universe, Justice League originally premiered in November 2017. The film had Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) team up with Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to battle an alien invasion force led by the powerful Steppenwolf. Their efforts lead to the resurrection of Superman (Henry Cavill), who sacrificed his life in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the Man of Steel’s return comes with its own, deadly set of problems.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will offer an extended, recut version of the 2017 film that aligns more closely with Snyder’s original vision for the project. Snyder exited Justice League during the production of the film due to a family tragedy and was replaced by The Avengers director Joss Whedon. The film was met with underwhelming ticket sales and negative reviews from both professional critics and general audiences, and ended up becoming one of the lowest-grossing films in the DCEU both domestically and worldwide.

Snyder’s cut of the film is expected to restore all of the work he did on the film before departing the project — much of which was reportedly scrapped by Whedon.

Everything we know about Wednesday season 2
Wednesday Addams with Thing on her shoulder from Wednesday.

It took just over 30 years for The Addams Family to recapture the public's imagination after the 1991 film and its 1993 sequel, Addams Family Values. Wednesday not only reinvigorated Charles Addams' signature creations, but it also became one of Netflix's most popular shows, surpassing even Stranger Things. That's why it was appropriate that The Addams Family's Christina Ricci had a part in Wednesday season 1 that allowed her to pass the torch to the current Wednesday, Jenna Ortega.

Wednesday season 2 is on the way to Netflix, and we're sharing everything we know about the upcoming season, including when it will return, what to expect, and more.
When will Wednesday season 2 be released?
2025 at the earliest. Netflix has confirmed the nearly three-year gap between seasons 1 and 2, which was pushed back because of the actors and writers strikes of 2023.

Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby.

Horror movies once had a reputation for being “dumb” films, but the world hasn’t viewed the genre that way for a long time. And whether you’re a fan of psychological thrills, slashers, ghost stories, or any other niche within the bigger pond, one of the best places to catch a horror flick is on Amazon Prime Video.

Several times per year, we comb through the archives of Prime Video to handpick the best genre titles worth watching. Our criteria is pretty tough too, as we don’t want our readers watching the same cookie-cutter genre pics again and again. Still, we do our best to spotlight a handful of classics.
