The Los Angeles Auto Show was once a footnote in comparison to the North American Auto Show in Detroit. Since the demise of Detroit’s dominance, however, LA has garnered a great deal of significance. With Automobility, the show has pivoted to reflect the increasing importance of car tech; 2020, which runs Nov. 20 to 29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, promises more of the same, with electric cars, show debuts, muscle cars and more. The 2020 Nissan Sentra takes on traditional rivals like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla by doubling down on style and tech. Debuting at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, the eighth-generation compact sedan gets a more attractive new look and a long list of available tech features.
2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime adds fuel efficiency and power in equal measure
The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime is a plug-in hybrid version of the popular RAV4 crossover. It may also be the best version. The Prime is the most powerful, quickest accelerating, and most fuel-efficient RAV4, Toyota claims. The RAV4 Prime debuts at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show and goes on sale in 2020.
Lexus did the obvious thing and chopped the top off its flagship LC
The Lexus LC was always going to look great as a convertible, and now we'll get to find out if it's great to drive as a convertible as well. The LC will finally drop its top in summer 2020. That'll make it easier to hear the soundtrack of the LC's thumping 5.0-liter V8 engine.

The Volkswagen ID.Space Vizzion is the latest in a series of electric concept cars from the company. It previews a potential production model with a 300-mile range. Volkswagen claims the ID.Space Vizzion's interior was made using only sustainable materials, and that the car is very aerodynamic.
2021 Aston Martin DBX is perfect for a 00 agent with a family
Aston Martin is finally launching its first SUV, the 2021 DBX. With 542 horsepower and a high-tech suspension system, the DBX should have the moves of a traditional Aston Martin. Engineers also spent a lot of time on the "utility" aspect of this SUV. The DBX starts at $189,900.

2020 Audi E-Tron Sportback, RS Q8 confirmed for 2019 LA Auto Show
Audi has picked the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show to make the global debut of the 2020 e-tron Sportback. Several other models will make their global debut here as well; the 2020 RS models including the Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7, and -- the highlight -- the global debut of the high-performance SUV, the Audi RS Q8.
All-electric Mini Cooper SE road-tripped from San Francisco to Los Angeles
Ahead of the 2019 Los Angeles Auto, the 2020 Mini Cooper SE did a road trip from San Francisco to the City of Angels. Mini's first mass-market electric car goes on sale in March 2020. Mini previously sent the Coope SE on a road trip from Munich to Frankfurt, but this California drive was much longer.
Acura adds some supercar touches to its MDX family crossover
Contining the trend started by the TLX, the 2020 Acura MDX PMC Edition is built in the same factory as the NSX supercar. Acura PMC Editions get fancy Valencia Red Pearl paint, and go through the same thorough inspection process as the NSX. The MDX PMC Edition debuts at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The all-electric 2019 Kia Niro EV joins hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of Kia's pseudo crossover. With three green powertrains available in one vehicle, Kia is certainly giving customers plenty of choices. The Niro EV will soon be joined by an electric version of the Kia Soul.

Jeep will sell a limited-edition Gladiator pickup online for one day only
Jeep introduced its long-promised Wrangler-based pickup truck at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. Called Gladiator, a heritage-laced name, it was designed to conquer the great outdoors, not the construction site. The first Jeep pickup in nearly 30 years comes with four doors, four-wheel drive, and a removable top.
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe teased way ahead of its November debut
