Waterproof may not come as a new idea but the virtually indestructible Boom 2 is made with premium materials so sound quality goes above and beyond the limits of water up to depths of 3.3 feet, as well as mud, sand. or snow. Its compact and rugged design will be appreciated by adventurous music lovers as it is built to survive falls from up to a height of five feet. The Wonderboom is not just another Bluetooth speaker you can get under $100, it is also ready to join in the fun when you’re having a pool party. The only place where the Sony loses out to the AirPods Max is the transparency mode, which is only slightly better on the Max, although the automation for the ANC and transparency modes on the XM5 is still pretty excellent.
