Fortnite challenge guide: Visit different restaurant kitchens

One of the final challenges you’ll likely go for during Fortnite season 5, week 14 requires you to visit two different restaurant kitchens. While the process of visiting these kitchens isn’t too difficult, there are a few things you need to know about completing the challenge. For starters, since this one is stage four, you must complete stages 1-3 before being able to go for this challenge.

The first one is for collecting cookbooks across Pleasant Park and/or Craggy Cliffs, the second one is for gathering eight fruits and/or vegetables (visit the farm to the north of Colossal Coliseum for this), while the third one requires you to collect 150 gold bars (which can be done by completing a bounty). After you’ve completed the aforementioned stages in that order, you’ll have the ability to complete stage 4 — visiting two different restaurant kitchens.

In total, there are four scattered around the map. You don’t need to visit two in the same match, though depending on where you land and the path of the storm, you can complete this challenge in one game. Either way, this guide will walk you through visiting different restaurant kitchens in Fortnite.

How to visit different restaurant kitchens

Fortnite.gg

There are four restaurants across the map, which are displayed in the map above (thanks, Fortnite.gg). Ideally, you should boot up a Team Rumble match, visit the closest restaurant’s kitchen, then die so you can respawn in the air. After that, you can hit the second restaurant to complete the challenge.

Where you land will depend on the path of the Battle Bus at the start of the match, but we found it easiest to visit Sticks (at Craggy Cliffs) and Pizza Pit (north of the Colossal Coliseum). Remember, you must visit two different locations for this to count. You can’t go to one spot, quit the match, and visit the same location again, unfortunately.

Below are the locations of all four restaurants.

Sticks is found on the north end of Craggy Cliffs.

Pizza Pit is located by the farm, north of the Colossal Coliseum.

The Butter Barn can be found south of the Zero Point in the center of the map. It’s worth noting that we were unable to get credit for this one, despite visiting it multiple times. It’s possible it’s bugged for the time being, so perhaps you should stick with the other three spots.

Durrr Burger

Finally, Durrr Burger is found west of Weeping Woods. This spot is out of the way but is usually safer since it’s a lower-traffic area.

After you’ve visited the kitchens of two restaurants, you’ll gain credit for completing the challenge and 40,000 XP.

The best places to land in Fortnite right now
Character landing in Fortnite.

Survival is key in Fortnite, and it all starts by picking the best starting location. Even if you're an expert player, your likelihood of coming out on top is greatly diminished if you start off on the wrong foot -- whether it be at a barren location with no loot or a hot drop that could lead to a swift death. As part of Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3, there's no shortage of fantastic landing spots, but which one you choose comes down to your skill and preference, and you're going to want to pick the right one if you want to win Fortnite. So join us as we show you the best Fortnite landing spots for veterans, beginners, and everyone in-between.
The best places to land in Fortnite

Before jumping into the list, it's important to be aware of what makes a good landing spot. Sure, any place with decent loot might serve you well, but there's more to consider than that. Does a spot have a consistent chest/loot spawn? Are there guaranteed materials? Is it close to other places of interest (POI)s? Is it out of the way? Of course, loot is the most important aspect, but it does you no good to have a stacked loadout if you're stuck in the storm. These recommended landing spots all have some degree of consistency and fantastic loot, and typically have some quirk that makes them effective depending on your playstyle.

Fortnite Reality Augments: full list and how to use them
Fortnite Zero Builds key art.

Every new chapter of Fortnite is a massive event. While seasonal changes bring plenty of minor tweaks and additions, it's almost always when a new chapter rolls around that major overhauls or new mechanics are introduced. Fortnite Chapter 4 was no exception, and aside from the extreme changes the island underwent, it brought one very important change to gameplay that makes a huge difference when going for that elusive victory royal (it isn't easy to win Fortnite, after all).

Augments, well, augment the game. There are a few challenges that somewhat introduce what these are, but they leave out almost all the important details for you to find out on your own. Augments need to be considered, and deeply understood, not only for when you get them yourself but to know what new tricks your opponents could have up their sleeves. Before you get taken by surprise, here's a complete breakdown of how to unlock augments and how they work in Fortnite.
What are augments in Fortnite?
Augments, or Reality Augments, are a new perk system introduced into Fortnite. There are currently 20 augments in the game, but there are 32 total that cycle in and out with each Season. You can get access to multiple augments during a single match, but augments do not carry over after a match is finished, whether you win or lose. These perks can range from modifying certain weapon types to granting buffs for performing actions, and much more. There are no bad augments, so you will want to get as many as possible. Augments also have their own tab in your menu where you can see which ones you've had so far to track your progress using them all.

How many skins are in Fortnite?
Renegade Runner Fortnite loading screen.

With each new Fortnite season comes a slew of new cosmetics to earn through the Battle Pass or to purchase in the item shop. With the game being out for nearly six years, the number of skins in the game has grown to absurd levels. No longer will you run into a match of solo players wearing similar skins. Between regular releases of skins and special event skins involving IPs like Star Wars, Street Fighter, Marvel, and more, every player has a very unique locker full of cosmetics to bust out in a given match.

These days, it's almost more likely you'll run into a skin you've never seen before than a player using the same one as you!
