You're a voracious devourer of music, podcasts, and audiobooks on Spotify. The world's most popular music streaming service has more content than you know what to do with, and it's easy to lose track of everything you've listened to.

Maybe you've gone down a Steely Dan rabbit hole or binged an entire season of SmartLess or just lost track of all the cool new music your teenage daughter recommended. It doesn't matter why you might need to take stock of your Spotify listening history -- the point is that it's easy to do on your smartphone/tablet and desktop Spotify apps. Here's how.

How to find your Spotify listening history on the desktop app

Finding your Spotify listening history is just as easy on the Spotify desktop app, but in this case, it only lets you see the last 50 tracks you've listened to. Here's how to access it.

Step 1: Open the Spotify desktop app on your computer.

Step 2: At the bottom right, select the Queue icon (it kind of looks like a little pill with two lines under it).

Apple Music Replay 2024: where to find it and how to see your listening stats
Apple Music Replay 2024

One of the earliest signifiers that the end is nigh (of the year, that is) is when the major music streaming services start releasing their fun and interactive lists of all your listening stats for the year. Spotify has its annual Wrapped (arguably the most popular), Amazon Music has its Delivered, and Apple Music has its Replay 2024, which was released to its subscribers today.

I'm not trying to be cheeky -- I actually love these year-end roundups that offer a personalized and detailed data-driven account of the artists, albums, songs, playlists, genres, and stations that each user has listened to over the course of the year. But it doesn't stop there, as the major streaming player also compiles a year-end list of top-ranked music globally that includes cool stats such as most-played songs, albums, and artists of the year, as well as some fun additions like most Shazam-ed songs (Apple owns the music identification service) and most-read lyrics.

The 6 best network music streamers for 2025: make your hi-fi smarter
Wiim Ultra with Klipsch The Sevens.

A network music streamer is one of the best ways to add hi-quality digital music from all your favorite music streaming services to your hi-fi system. Whether you're partial to your older vintage stereo receiver or integrated amplifier or you have a great set of powered speakers or even a more modern AV receiver that just lacks network connectivity, these relatively compact and inexpensive devices have all kinds of connectivity options to easily retrofit your gear. Many network music streamers also have high-powered amplification built in, in case you're starting from scratch and want to just build a digital audio system from scratch.

A network music streamer lets you stream hi-res audio tracks (and lesser formats) from services like Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Apple Music, where higher-bitrate tracks are prioritized. Network music streamers make use of premium audio technology, including precision-tuned DAC (digital-to-analog converter) systems, to ensure you’ll get the best sound possible from your favorite online tracks.
