How to watch the U.S. Open Final online: Live stream Thiem vs. Zverev

With Serena Williams’ valiant but unsuccessful campaign for her 24th grand slam title and Novak Djokovic’s early and shocking default after hitting a line judge with a ball in his first set against Pablo Carreno Busta, this year’s unprecedented U.S. Open has been anything but uneventful. Djokovic’s angry outburst may have cost him another title, but it has carved a long-anticipated space for the rest of his younger competitors to finally take home a win. Although Williams made it all the way to the semifinals this year, her absence in the finals — like Djokovic’s — left room for other rising stars like Naomi Osaka to shine on this year’s cutthroat women’s singles roster. It seems that the 2020 U.S. Open has inadvertently become the year of the rookies. After Osaka bested Victoria Azarenka in the harrowing women’s singles final last night, it’s time for the men’s singles final this afternoon. Let’s see whether Dominic Thiem or Alexander Zverev will step up and claim the title that Djokovic let slip through his grasp. Here’s how to watch the U.S. Open Finals online.

ESPN+ offers complete streaming coverage of this year’s U.S. Open Final. Use this link to sign up and get exclusive access to thousands of live sporting events and archives, spanning everything from MLB to NHL to UFC and — most importantly — Grand Slam tennis. Unfortunately, the service does not offer a free trial period, but the monthly subscription fee only rounds out to a reasonable $6 per month. Not to mention the alternative streaming package, which bundles ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu into one easy payment of $13 per month. With the bundle, you save 30% on all three services and gain an excellent cable alternative (for those viewers itching to cut the cord). Still, the important thing to remember is that both of these ESPN+ streaming plans include full coverage of this year’s U.S. Open Final.

Thiem is definitely the favorite going into this afternoon’s men’s singles final, especially since he has beaten Zverev in seven out of their nine past matches. Regardless, with two such strong players facing off in the match of the season — and with this being the first time in four years that a Grand Slam men’s singles final will not include Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic — it remains anyone’s game.

Watch Haney vs Garcia live stream: PPV time, price, undercard
Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia on a promotional poster that says "This one counts."

"Tumultuous" might be the best word to describe the lead up to Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia. Garcia has taken his unhinged persona to the next level, and instead of debating CompuBox statistics and knockout percentages, everyone is talking about the whirlwind of a fight week. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) barked like a dog at his press conference. Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) slapped Garcia on top of the Empire State Building. The crazy fight week build up culminated with Garcia missing weight by over three pounds, meaning he is no longer eligible to win Haney's WBC World Super Lightweight belt.

But the show must go on, and the two will meet in the squared circle on tonight, April 20. Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia is about to start, at 8:00 p.m. ET, and will stream on DAZN PPV. There are four fights on the card before that, so the main bout is estimated to start around 11:00 p.m. ET. Keep reading for everything you need to know to watch boxing online this weekend.
