Samsung Galaxy Nexus to hit Costco December 15?

nexusYou’ve no doubt heard the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been delayed—and then some. After much speculation, the premier Ice Cream Sandwich phone still can’t be found on shelves, yet we might be inching closer to a release.

costco galaxy nexusA Costco coupon obtained by DroidDog advertises a $290 Galaxy Nexus bundle, which in addition to the phone will reportedly include a leather pouch, car charger, and a screen protector. The deal requires a two year contract with Verizon and will be available December 15. Of course, Costco was also supposed to have the handset available December 9, which has clearly come and gone with no sign of the Galaxy Nexus.

This doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the official launch date from Verizon, and Costco members could easily be the first to get their hands on the phone. In the interest of pulling at loose ends a little, the December 15 launch has been mentioned before, and this does give it slightly more credence. Of course the continuing delays and lack of information from Verizon works against any optimism.

All that said, it’ll be worth it to check out any Costco coupons and releases this Thursday to see if the Galaxy Nexus is finally among them.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 is on sale for just $40, but with a catch
Samsung Galaxy A14 5G lock screen

If you need a new phone but you're on a tight budget, you probably didn't think to look at Samsung Galaxy deals, as these include the brand's flagship smartphones. However, there are also some extremely affordable options like the Samsung Galaxy A14. The smartphone is on sale for only $40, following a $60 discount on its original price of $100, but it's locked to a Straight Talk prepaid plan. If you're fine with that restriction, then you better hurry as we're not sure how much time is remaining on this bargain.

Why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy A14
The Samsung Galaxy A14 scored 4 out of 5 stars in our review, which is surprisingly high for an entry-level smartphone. It "offers a lot of bang for your buck" as a member of Samsung's affordable Galaxy A-Series, and it all begins with the first thing that you'll notice -- a 6.6-inch LCD touchscreen with 1080p resolution. You shouldn't expect it to challenge the display of a flagship model like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it's still a pretty nice screen for browsing social media, playing mobile games, and watching streaming shows.

These official-looking images will get you excited for the Galaxy S25
The back of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

We've almost certainly gotten our first look at the official Samsung Galaxy S25 renders, even if they weren't shared by an official source. Reliable tipster Evan Blass sent these renders out through his mailing list, and appear as official as they get. Not only do the phones look good, but they also show a lot of detail for the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus, including some expected colors: light blue, light green, dark blue, and silver.

The renders don't really provide any new information, but they do corroborate what we've seen, and give us a closer look at the phones. All of the Galaxy S25 models have narrow bezels and a punch-hole camera on the front. The phone appears to be flat on both the front and back, as well as the sides.

These clever Galaxy S25 AI features look surprisingly helpful
Galaxy S24 FE

With fewer than seven days to go until Samsung's January 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event, the specs and look of the Galaxy S25 series is pretty well known, but a new leak has dished out more on the lineup's Galaxy AI features and its camera. It looks like the Galaxy S25 will integrate the Gemini assistant into Samsung Notes and YouTube, but the most interesting find is the Now Brief feature.

The Now Brief feature looks like it offers real-time information throughout the day, like a morning message with the weather and your energy score, the "For your route" section with a map and even a coupon to use along the way, while the "Night Summary" talks about your overall physical activity for the day. All of these examples were shared with the Portuguese website Tecnoblog, and the names of the cards are translated from Portuguese, but if accurate it appears Galaxy AI is on its way to becoming a lot more helpful in day-to-day life.
