Geralt fights to the end in The Witcher season 3 part 2 trailer

In the world of The Witcher, Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) was a solitary figure for years, doomed to forever be alone and likely fated to die fighting monsters at an early age. But over the course of the show, Geralt has opened his heart to his lover, Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), and he has accepted personal responsibility for the exiled princess of Cintra, Ciri (Freya Allan). Geralt truly loves the two women in his life, and they’ve become a makeshift family. But their bonds will be tested in the remaining episodes of The Witcher season 3.

The newly released trailer for The Witcher season 3 part 2 appears to show Ciri reluctantly parting from her surrogate parents for her own safety. Ciri possesses a magical power that has made her a target of dark forces, and she is running out of places to run and hide. As for Geralt, he’s done running. He’s ready to fight to keep his family together, even if it costs him his life.

These are Henry Cavill’s final three episodes of the series, but the show will continue in season 4 with Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt. It’s possible that these episodes will provide an explanation for Geralt’s new face, but that remains to be seen.

Joey Batey also stars in the series Jaskier the Bard, with MyAnna Buring as Tissaia de Vries, Mimî M. Khayisa as Fringilla Vigo, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, and Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz of Roggeveen.

The Witcher season 3 part 2 will drop on Netflix on July 27.

With Argylle bombing, has Henry Cavill missed his chance to be a movie star?
Henry Cavill as Agent Argylle pointing at someone off-camera in the film Argylle.

As a huge Henry Cavill fan, you can believe me when I say that being a Henry Cavill fan is hard sometimes. There are his puzzling career choices that make zero sense, the questionable things he sometimes says, and his comical devotion to a miniature wargame that has now become his calling card. Sometimes, it feels as though he needs a big "Stop trying to make Warhammer happen" dose of reality. At the very least, he needs new management -- and he has that in common with his former Lois Lane, Amy Adams.

The thing is, Cavill has everything to be a leading man: devastating good looks, a cool demeanor, suave charm, and a devoted fan base. For a while, it seemed like he could become an A-lister, back in the mid-2010s when he was still Superman. Fast-forward to 2024, and Cavill is struggling at the box office — in a movie where he's not even the star, mind you — after two years of controversies, including a high-profile exit from his Netflix show and an even higher-profile exit from the franchise that made him famous.

three underrated henry cavill movies you should watch after argylle the man from uncle movie 2

This week, Henry Cavill -- bad haircut and all -- is back in theaters with Argylle, the new spy action comedy in which he plays the title character...who may or may not actually exist. This is Cavill's first major theatrical film role since his cameo in Black Adam, which ended up being his last appearance as Superman.

Outside of the DCEU movies, Cavill is probably best known for his part in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, a truly great action movie that can't be called underrated with a straight face. But when going over Cavill's previous films to find his best underrated movies, we couldn't help but notice that the vast majority of his early flicks are truly awful. Everyone has to start somewhere, but you're better off sticking with our picks for the three underrated Henry Cavill movies you should watch. The alternatives were suspect at best.
