As a major competitor to Steam, Epic Games has built up a strong library of some of the best PC games out there. One of the big draws to the platform is the selection of Epic Games Store free games that come out each week to beef up your library. At this point, it has become a fully social platform. However, we can all feel a little antisocial at times and just want to play alone without our friends sending messages or knowing what we're up to. Let's quickly help you learn how to appear offline.

How to appear offline on Epic Games

Sadly, there isn't a way to simply appear offline on Epic Games like there is on Steam or PS5. However, there are ways to achieve the same result.

Step 1: Open your Epic Games launcher.

Step 2: Select your Profile icon in the upper-right corner.

The Epic Games home screen.

Step 3: Make sure the Enable Offline Mode Browsing box is checked.

The Epic Games settings.

Step 4: You can now disconnect your computer from the internet, restart it, and still have access to your Epic Games library. This won't allow you to play online games, of course.

Your only other methods to play Epic Games without your friends knowing would be to play without signing in to your account, though this prevents you from saving any progress, or if the game you are playing happens to have an appear offline option within it. Hopefully, Epic Games implements an official way to appear offline soon. Until then, these are best alternatives.

Ubisoft opened up its The Crew Showcase on Tuesday with an important update about the future of the racing franchise. In response to fan outcry after The Crew 1 was rendered unplayable in March, the company promised to keep the current titles playable, even in a future where they get taken offline.

"We want to acknowledge that some of you voiced concern about the access to The Crew games,” Stéphane Beleym, managing studio director on The Crew, said during the presentation. "Today, we want to express our commitment to the future of The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest."

A PS5 sits on a table with a DualSense standing up next to it.

Gaming is an expensive hobby at the best of times, especially after the standard price was raised to $70 for new and upcoming games. For most of us out there, it's just impossible to buy every one of the best PlayStation 5 games that come out at launch for full price, forcing us to wait for sales and discounts. However, you never know when those might show up or if the game you wanted is included. But, if you turn on one setting, you can be notified the moment a game you have your eye on gets a discount.

If you want to earn some credits the honorable way, Kessel Sabacc is this universe's preferred way to gamble. You'll be introduced to the game early on and instantly hit with a wall of tutorials and rules to somehow master in just a single game. While it shares elements with some card games you may know, it is entirely its own beast. Let's break down the rules so you know how to play the winning hand every time.
How to play Kessel Sabacc

Kessel Sabacc is played in three-turn rounds and goes as many rounds as it takes for only one player to be left with chips. You start with six chips and are dealt two cards with the option to draw and discard one card each turn for the cost of one chip. You can hold to pass your turn and keep that chip as well. At the end of three turns, everyone's hand is shown.
