Best Buy slashes the price of Sennheiser wireless headphones by up to 50% off

There are many things beyond our control but living in this digital age has at least made it possible for us to keep noise down to the very minimum with a pair of headphones that feature active noise cancellation. This way, it becomes easier to focus on our current task as much as we can depend on our favorite tunes to boost our performance. Sennheiser is one of the top brands that offer stellar audio reproduction and while that understandably comes at a premium price, you might just be able to bank on savings with Best Buy’s deals on the Momentum 2.0 and HD 4.50.

Sennheiser Momentum 2.0

— $200 ($200 off)

The Momentum 2.0 delivers in design and durability with a stainless steel frame. Sennheiser certainly made improvements to the original momentum by boosting its portability and wearability. The frame is now collapsible and can be stowed in the included case while the headband and earcups are heavily padded with memory foam encased in leather. It may be a bit bulkier than it was but it sure puts comfort first with less pressure on your ears, better noise isolation, and it shouldn’t weigh you down at 260g.

If you’re gearing up for long listening sessions, the Momentum 2.0 stands up to the challenge with a battery life that lasts up to 22 hours with both Bluetooth and NoiseGard (hybrid active noise cancellation) employed. You just have to remind yourself to switch them off so as not to waste power but three presses on its multifunction button should be able to tell you how much charge you have left. Much credit is due to its Bluetooth 4.0 technology and NFC for wireless connectivity that allows you to sync two devices at the same time and up to eight compatible devices in the pairing list. The Momentum 2.0 lets you experience true wireless freedom but you may also go for a hardwired connection to either your phone or computer with the provision for a 3.5mm jack.

Should you be away from your device, you can easily access music playback controls, power/pairing button through your right ear cup. With the integrated VoiceMax technology, two microphones on either ear cup make for clear conversations on both ends with minimal to no interference. Momentum’s sound signature remains rich, full-bodied, dynamic, and of course with a certain level of refinement. There is no doubt of powerful bass, a reverberant midrange, and remains to be expressive on the high end without a hint of distortion. The Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 are a set of on-ear headphones that is well complemented with active noise cancellation. It may be considered a luxury as it normally retails for $400 but you might be willing to reconsider as Best Buy halves its price and brings it down to a more palpable $200.

Sennheiser HD 4.50

— $98 ($82 off)

If you want to get the most bang for your buck, then you might not need to look any further from what the Sennheiser HD 4.50 manages to pack in a more affordable package. It is arguably one of the most budget-friendly noise-canceling cans you’ll find in today’s market. It sports a laid-back design with an understated matte-black finish and chrome accents surrounding the memory foam cushioned earcups and headband. The all-plastic construction makes it cost-efficient and lightweight at only 238 grams while the foldable frame and side-swiveling earcups make storage hassle-free. As for controls, it’ll be easy to configure music playback, incoming calls, and volume on the right earcup along with a micro-USB slot for recharging. The left ear cup, on the other hand, contains the NFC (near field communication) chip for quick and seamless pairing with a compatible smart device.

Active noise-cancellation is truly one of Sennheiser’s HD 4.50 prime features. Needless to say, an unadulterated listening experience, as well as clear crisp calls, are both possible with NoiseGard tech to virtually eliminate unwanted ambient sound through its dual omnidirectional microphones. This feature is matched with a frequency response of 18 – 22,000Hz that gives way to a deep resounding bass that continues to be well-balanced through the mids and highs.

Bluetooth and NFC both facilitate a faultless connection along with the aptX audio codec to deliver high-res sound straight to your ears. Long listening sessions can be just as expected as the HD 4.5o gives you 19 hours of playback with active noise cancellation and 25 hours without it. The 3.5mm audio jack just gives you the flexibility in case you’d need to conserve its battery. Music aficionados with an active lifestyle are definitely set in terms of wireless connectivity, intuitive ease of use, exceptional comfortability, and amazing sound.

Cables and noise no longer have to get in between you, your music, or your focus when you order the Sennheiser HD 4.5 on Best Buy for just $98 instead of $180.
