Gears of War 3 “Horde Command” DLC delayed [UPDATED: “Horde” DLC is available now}

The first big piece of downloadable content for Gears of War 3 has been delayed, leaving gamers wondering when they’ll get their hands on the “Horde Command” add-on.

The DLC was announced back in early October, and was expected to arrive November 1. A message posted on the Epic Games forum indicates that a “technical issue” is to blame for the delay.

“We apologize to those of you who are anxiously awaiting to play,” states the post from one of the forum’s moderators. “We know this is disappointing news as we’ve seen a lot of posts today showing excitement for this content. We have folks working around the clock to resolve this issue ASAP so you can all play and enjoy the Command Pack.”

Joystiq reports that the delay for “Horde Command” will not affect the scheduled release of the second DLC pack, “RAAM’s Shadow,” due out in December.

Fortnite’s Fracture event will end Chapter 3 much sooner than expected

Epic Games has teased the next major Fortnite in-game event, Fracture, which will end Chapter 3 earlier than expected.

The event was announced at the end of the Fortnite Champion Series Invitational on Sunday night, the first in-person Fortnite tournament since 2019. After trophies were presented to the winners of this year's competition, Epic teased the title card for Fortnite Fracture, marking it as the finale of Chapter 3. It's scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. ET on December 3.

The Witcher 3’s long-delayed current-gen update launches this December

As promised, CD Projekt Red will release the current-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt -- Complete Edition this year, on December 14. This update will go live across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and is free to anyone who already owns the game on previous-gen.

The current-gen version of The Witcher 3 has been in the works for quite some time, suffering multiple delays since its initial announcement in 2021. Thankfully, the game's developer will make good on its promise to launch it in 2022.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remake reportedly delayed indefinitely

The remake of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic has reportedly been indefinitely delayed. According to a report, the studio behind the project, Aspyr Media, is trying to figure out how to continue it after several key figures left the project.

Per Bloomberg, two studio heads from Aspyr told employees throughout this month that the game would be delayed as the studio is looking for new contracts and development work. At the end of last month on June 30, Aspyr reportedly managed to finish a demo for the game to show Lucasfilm and Sony.
