Samsung seems to be in overdrive lately, cranking out device after device. The Galaxy S4 just hit the market in the last few weeks, the Galaxy Note 3 is in the works, the Galaxy S4 Mini was just announced, and now it looks like we may be seeing two more devices – the Galaxy S4 Zoom and Active – officially debuted by the South Korea-based company.

We’ve reported rumors about both devices already, but, according to BGR, Samsung will be announcing the two at a press conference slated to take place on June 20. If the company is trying to guarantee a spot on everyone’s radar, it’s certainly doing a good job of it. We can hardly finish reporting one rumor or release before another one falls on our desk.

While the two new models will be based largely on the flagship Galaxy S4, there are some defining features.

Galaxy S4 Zoom: The Zoom is targeted at those who take mobile photography seriously. It comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera, complete with a 10x optical zoom. In addition, it is expected to sport a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, be powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, and have 8GB storage with a microSD slot for extra memory storage.

Galaxy S4 Active: The Active is intended for those who are always on-the-go, in search of rugged adventure. This model is said to be essentially the same as the standard S4, but a bit more rugged, dust- and waterproof. It should have a 5-inch full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 16GB storage with microSD slot to expand, and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

So it’s a lot of exciting news on the Samsung front, and we’re hoping next month’s announcement pulls through.

Samsung is about to launch its most ambitious smartphone in years later this week, one that brings back the fondly remembered “Edge” moniker. The Korean electronics giant’s next offering is the Galaxy S25 Edge, an ultra-slim phone that was first showcased earlier this year and will finally get the full launch treatment.

The online event kicks off at 5:00pm PT / 8:00pm ET on May 12 for those of you in the US, instead of multiple on-ground events across different regions.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE could be here sooner rather than later

Good news, Samsung fans: it seems likely the Galaxy S25 FE will release before the end of the year. Samsung has released an FE (Fan Edition) of its main flagship every year since the Galaxy S20, with the exception of 2021. The news that the Galaxy S25 FE is on the way isn't really news — it's been leaked several times before — but SamMobile has now discovered the firmware for the US variant of the phone, assuaging worries that Samsung might skip this generation. Some fans feared that, due to the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge, there might not be a Fan Edition in 2025.

According to SamMobile, the US version for the Galaxy S25 FE uses model number SM-S731U and firmware version S731USQU0AYDH. This doesn't mean much on its own, but it's a distinct identifier confirming a US model is on the way. If Samsung sticks to timing from years past, the Galaxy S25 FE is likely to drop sometime around September or October.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Dummy Video

One of Samsung's upcoming best smartphones is getting closer and closer to its rumored release date, and as we get there, more and more specs begin to leak out. Today, we learned that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge might have a camera that will rival some of its much larger rivals.

The leak comes from SammyGuru, which managed to spot an interesting detail on a Samsung shipping manifest. According to the publication's findings, the S25 Edge will have the same selfie camera as other phones in the S25 lineup, which would spell good news for the Android flagship. After all, being more compact, one might expect the camera to take a hit, but so far, that doesn't seem to be the case.
