Best Buy drops the price of Withings Body+ smart scale for Memorial Day

We wouldn’t blame you if you tacked on a few extra pounds over the past few months, and you’re not the only one. But as things begin to open back up, including our parks and recreational areas, Best Buy’s Memorial Day sales have a few items to help you shed that extra weight.

The retailer has the Withings Body+ Body Composition Smart Scale on sale for $79, a $20 discount through Monday. While that’s certainly not cheap for a scale, the Withings Body+ Smart Scale comes with a host of functionality we think makes it worth the price.

First off, the scale can support and track health data including weight, body fat, muscle, bone mass, and water percentage for up to eight people — and can detect who’s on the scale automatically. That makes it a perfect scale for even the largest families. It has a maximum weight capacity of 396.8 pounds, and Position Control technology provides an extremely accurate reading — to 0.2 pounds– no matter how you stand on the scale.

There’s even a baby mode which can ensure that you’re at a healthy weight for you and your baby, a feature which also offers pediatrician-reviewed advice for staying healthy during pregnancy.

Each person can access their data from the Withings HealthMate app, plus there are a variety of third-party tie-ins with other health and fitness platforms. This is what makes the Withings scale one of the better smart scale options on the market.

The scale syncs with both Apple Health and Google Fit and can share data with MyFitnessPal and LoseIt as well. If you have Alexa, there’s also a skill where you can ask for your health data on demand, too.

There’s no need to sync your data with your phone as the scale will automatically send data to your phone after every weigh-in, and there are no wires to run as the scale is able to run on four AAA batteries for months without needing to be replaced.

For a long time, the Dell XPS 13 constituted Dell's small laptop response to the MacBook Air 13, but there's a new kid in town. That's a whopping $510 discount, so if you want a powerful little laptop, this is the perfect opportunity to grab one.

Why you should buy the Dell XPS 14
This little Dell XPS 14 comes with a 14.5-inch screen running an FHD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 500 nits, making it the perfect companion for keeping mobile and taking it with you wherever you go. That's certainly helped by the 3.7-pound weight and the 0.71-inch thickness that makes it both lightweight and thin enough to fit in a bag or backpack, and it's well-built enough that you shouldn't have to worry about carrying it around. It's worth mentioning that you can upgrade the screen to a gorgeous 3.2K OLED screen that's also touche-enabled for an extra $300, although it does bump up the weight a bit to 3.8 pounds.

While you may know Dell as the company that owns Alienware, one of the best laptop brands on the market, Dell itself actually does a lot of different types of gear. For example, it has a wide range of excellent monitors, but if you're looking for something with good specs and price, this Dell 27 Monitor is a solid option. Even better, there is an excellent early Memorial Day sale on it from Dell that brings it down to $200 rather than the usual $220 it goes for. While that isn't a huge discount, constituting only $20, it was already a pretty good price before the discount, so this is just a cherry on top.

Why you should buy the Dell 27 Monitor
As the name might imply, the Dell 27 Monitor comes with a 27-inch screen, and it runs a 2560 x 1440 resolution, which is actually perfect for this screen size since a 4K resolution tends to be wasted for anything smaller than 32 inches. Interestingly, it has a base refresh rate of 100Hz, which makes it an excellent choice for gaming, especially since the majority of GPUs can't really push more than that at 2k. So, if you have something like an RTX 4070 or equivalent, you'll be able to utilize the card fully, and if you have a worse GPU, then you'll still have the option to either prioritize graphical settings or refresh rate.
