Fortnite season 5 week 2 challenge guide: How to drive through flaming rings

Fortnite’s season 5 week 2 challenges have just dropped, and while most of them aren’t too difficult, they do require you to go to specific locations to find certain items. One that might be stumping you requires you to drive through three specific flaming rings. It sounds simple enough, but there are some things you need to do before you’re able to get started with it. For one, this season’s challenges come in stages, meaning you have to complete the first stage to unlock the next — and so on.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to unlock the challenge for driving through flaming rings, along with tips on how to complete it. For this one in particular, it’s stage three of the Burnout challenges, meaning you have to finish the first two beforehand. Stage one requires you to find car parts, while stage two sends you on a quest to deliver a vehicle from Steamy Stacks to Pleasant Park. Once you’ve done those two challenges, you can start this one. Here’s how to drive through flaming rings in Fortnite.

To complete this challenge, you need to drive through three rings, all of which are spread out around Pleasant Park. As usual, you don’t need to complete them in a specific order, but for the purposes of this guide, we’ll be covering them in a clockwise formation. To start, land toward the center of Pleasant Park to pick up a vehicle. It doesn’t have to be a fast car, but we do recommend grabbing one with enough gas so you can drive through all three rings in the same match. We advise grabbing a car with around 75% fuel or so.

Once you’ve grabbed a car, drive north toward the Stealthy Stronghold, where you’ll find the first ring ahead of a ramp. Use the images above for reference.

For the second flaming ring, you can find it to the southeast of the previous one between two hills, just before the blue bridge. It’s located ahead of some water beneath the aforementioned bridge.

For the final flaming ring, drive across the blue bridge to the east, where you’ll find a little race track among a dirt road in an area called Mowdown. Do be careful, as there are some enemy NPCs in this area that can take you out with little issues. Remember, you don’t need to drive through all three rings in the same game, as your progress does carry over from match to match.

After you’ve driven through the final flaming ring, you’ll complete the challenge and earn 20,000 XP for doing so. After this, you’ll be all finished with the Burnout challenges for this week.

Where to find the secret cave in Fortnite
A player drives a motorcycle through Reckless Railways in Fortnite.

Every time Fortnite changes up the map, it becomes a whole new experience when checking out the new points of interest (POIs) and best places to land. With chapter 5 bringing some of the most dramatic changes in the map's history, a ton of secrets are out there on the island waiting to be discovered, such as a very lucrative cave. Those who have managed to wander into this hidden alcove have been rewarded with a huge stash of loot, making it a well-guarded secret among those in the know. We can't guarantee you'll survive long enough to grab all the valuables inside, but knowing where the secret cave is will at least give you and your squad a fighting chance.
Secret cave location

The secret cave is tucked along the eastern coast of the map to the northeast of Hazeyhills and southeast of Grand Glacier as seen on the map above.

Fortnite Reality Augments: full list and how to use them
Fortnite Zero Builds key art.

Every new chapter of Fortnite is a massive event. While seasonal changes bring plenty of minor tweaks and additions, it's almost always when a new chapter rolls around that major overhauls or new mechanics are introduced. Fortnite Chapter 4 was no exception, and aside from the extreme changes the island underwent, it brought one very important change to gameplay that makes a huge difference when going for that elusive victory royal (it isn't easy to win Fortnite, after all).

Augments, well, augment the game. There are a few challenges that somewhat introduce what these are, but they leave out almost all the important details for you to find out on your own. Augments need to be considered, and deeply understood, not only for when you get them yourself but to know what new tricks your opponents could have up their sleeves. Before you get taken by surprise, here's a complete breakdown of how to unlock augments and how they work in Fortnite.
What are augments in Fortnite?
Augments, or Reality Augments, are a new perk system introduced into Fortnite. There are currently 20 augments in the game, but there are 32 total that cycle in and out with each Season. You can get access to multiple augments during a single match, but augments do not carry over after a match is finished, whether you win or lose. These perks can range from modifying certain weapon types to granting buffs for performing actions, and much more. There are no bad augments, so you will want to get as many as possible. Augments also have their own tab in your menu where you can see which ones you've had so far to track your progress using them all.

Warzone 2.0 Season 3 Reloaded has me optimistic about the shooter’s future
Characters from Warzone 2.0 in the ranked mode.

Since Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0's launch, Activision has slowly made improvements to the shooter, with each season being more fun than the last. It's been a slow burn, but with the launch of Season 3 Reloaded, Warzone 2.0 finally feels like it's in a decent spot. There's still much to improve upon, but given the sheer number of fixes and quality-of-life features that have been added with the latest season, I'm finally optimistic about the future of this game.
Ranked is surprisingly fun

The most notable addition to Season 3 Reloaded is Ranked, a mode that has been highly requested since the original Warzone. This features a robust ranking system that gives players a greater incentive to improve and perform well, while also adding a much more competitive feel. Since the original Warzone days, there has always been a lack of incentive to improve. Sure, winning a match is a rush, but after pouring hundreds of hours into the game, it's easy to get bored. With Warzone Ranked, climbing the ranks places you into different categories, from Bronze all the way to Iridescent and Top 250, while also yielding cosmetic rewards along the way. Each subsequent ranking places you into slightly more skilled lobbies, adding a bit more challenge as you climb.
