The best accessories for your new Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, or S21 Ultra

Samsung recently launched its hotly anticipated Galaxy S21 series with a trio of flagship smartphones in a range of sizes: The 6.2-inch S21, the 6.7-inch S21 Plus, and the massive 6.8-inch S21 Ultra. If you’re considering any of these new phones, you will also want to pick up a few extra goodies to properly outfit them.

Despite Samsung previously mocking Apple for ditching the in-package charger for its iPhone 12 series, Samsung decided on imitation as the lowest form of flattery by doing the same thing. That means you may need to buy a charger for your new phone. Samsung Galaxy phones are, more than ever, humongous glass slabs for which you will want a protective cover before taking it into the wild of your neighborhood, subway, or bodega. But that’s just the beginning. We put together a list of some of the best accessories we could find to help get your new phone up and running with the necessary accoutrements to ensure functionality and safety.

Psst! If you want to protect the Galaxy S21’s massive hunk of glass, check out our lists of the best Galaxy S21 Ultra screen protectors, the best Galaxy S21 Plus screen protectors, or the best Galaxy S21 screen protectors.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the only phone with S-Pen support, so you can’t find the case for the S21 or S21 Plus. The Galaxy S25 doesn’t look like the success Samsung will have wanted
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung leads Apple in smartphone shipment market share, according to data from Counterpoint Research, and while this may appear good news for the brand, a deeper examination into two very different strategies indicates Samsung may not be happy with the situation at all. For the first three months of 2025, Samsung controlled 20% of the global smartphone market by device shipments, followed by Apple with 19%. This is “sell in” data, meaning devices purchased from the manufacturer by distributors. It is a considerable change over the data from the last three months of 2024, where Apple led with 23% of the market followed by Samsung with 16%.

This is crucial to understanding why Samsung may be looking at the latest figures, which on the outside appear positive, with concern. At the end of 2024 Apple would have been riding high on the release of the iPhone 16 series, while Samsung would have been far removed from the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6’s release. It makes sense for Apple to command a higher market share right after the release of its flagship devices for the year.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra may get a brand new camera upgrade
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's camera.

Samsung may be working on upgrading the Galaxy S25 Ultra's already complex, high performance camera system for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, by replacing one of its multiple cameras with a brand new sensor. Before we get into it, you should know the details come from information apparently taken from a prototype of the future Galaxy phone, and is therefore not only a little unclear, but also subject to change. That said, here’s what we know.

For reference, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has four cameras on the back — a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP 5x optical telephoto, and a 10MP 3x optical telephoto. Samsung is expected to continue using the 200MP main, 50MP wide-angle, and 50MP 5x telephoto, but is potentially doing something different with the 10MP 3x zoom according to the PandaFlashPro X account, a known source of mobile industry information.
