Walmart knocks hefty $273 off this versatile 55-inch LG 4K TV

You don’t have to spend big to place a sizable 4K TV at the center of your home entertainment setup — Walmart has knocked a hefty $273 off one of LG’s finest 55-inch 4K TVs, dropping the price of the $700 television down to just $427 ($42 per month, including sales tax, if you decide to split the cost over 12 months). But time isn’t on your side; the retailer has set a limited amount of stock aside for this particular offer, and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

The 4K TV in question is the LG UM7300. Granted, this won’t mean anything to the average shopper, so we’ll explain what we’re looking at here. In short, the 55-inch LG UM7300 is a versatile high-resolution television, equipped with all the features that make a 4K TV worthy of the name. This includes a crystal-clear 4K Ultra HD screen and smart software with one-click access to all the leading streaming services, such as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.

Plus, the LG UM7300 is armed with HDR10 and HLG to boot and a 4K Upscale Engine. The former can be called upon to draw additional detail from a scene, by using expert feedback to increase the contrast level to the optimum rate for the content you’re watching (if it supports HDR, that is). The latter, by contrast, is always running in the background, transforming both standard HD and Full HD material into a higher 4K Ultra HD resolution.

All in all, the 55-inch LG UM7300 is a fantastic television for anyone looking to breathe fresh life into their home entertainment setup, future-proofing it for years to come. Specifically, it’s best for people who come home after a long, tiring day at the office and fire up the latest must-see show on Netflix, before indulging in a movie or two come the weekend. And because it’s from a big-name manufacturer, it will stand the test of time.

After something a little bigger? There are a number of larger 4K TVs on sale right now, including a 65-inch LG NanoCell for $1,000 and a 70-inch Sony Bravia for $1,130 — the latter of which just so happens to be one of the best offers we’ve seen lately. Best Buy has also slashed the price of a number of 75-inch models from the likes of Samsung and Sony for those looking for something to dominate their living room, bedroom, or maybe even a den.

LG just knocked $300 off this 16-inch lightweight laptop
lg ultrapc 17 review front angled

For those people who are constantly on the go, grabbing a thin and light laptop makes life a lot easier, especially since they tend to weigh a lot less while also having very capable performance. Unfortunately, that does come at a bit of an extra cost, so we're happy to see this deal from LG on the UltraPC laptop that knocks it down to just $700 from its usual price of $1,000. That's an excellent price for a laptop that can outperform competitors at the same price range, even with the discounted price.

Why you should buy the LG UltraPC laptop
This new version of the Ultra PC is a big upgrade on the previous LG UltraPC laptop and follows the same lineup of LG's very thin laptops like the LG Gram 17, so LG has quite a lot of experience in this market. That's pretty obvious by the fact that the UltraPC has a tiny 0.64-inch thickness, making it thinner than many books. It doesn't lose out on other features, though, and it still comes with a pretty substantial 16-inch screen that runs a modified FHD resolution of 1920 x 1200, which may be a bit low for such a nice laptop, but it's not a dealbreaker if it helps keep the price down. The keyboard is also great to use, and while the previous version of the UltraPC had a comically small touchpad, this new one is a lot more substantial and useful.
