What’s new on Amazon Prime Video in April 2024

April has arrived on Amazon Prime Video, and Fallout is about to begin. Prime Video’s biggest addition this month is the series premiere of Fallout, which will adapt the post-apocalyptic world of the hit video games with a dark sense of humor. And in a departure from Prime Video’s most recent big releases, all eight episodes of Fallout will premiere on April 11.

Fortunately, that’s not all Prime Video has to offer in April. Fan-favorite TV shows like House and Eureka are arriving this month, as is last year’s horror revival, The Exorcist: Believer. Prime Video’s film library is also expanding with Chinatown, Fighting with My Family, Memoirs Of A Geisha, Out of Sight, The Big Short, The Notebook, The Station Agent, and more.

Amazon Prime Video is a treasure trove of movies and TV shows. While some require an add-on subscription to a service like Paramount+ or AMC+, others are available as part of your Amazon Prime subscription. Keep in mind that now you need to pay a small fee on top of that to get access ad-free. But either way, the movies that come with that base subscription are available to you at any time. That is, until they’re gone.

Movies come and go on Amazon, so you’ll want to keep track of expiring titles. There are five movies leaving Amazon Prime Video in April that you’ll want to watch before they go. They’re all fabulous films that range from the 1980s up to the 2010s and feature A-list talent. Check these out before they are removed from the service before the end of the month.

Hulu is the MVP in this week's streaming race, thanks to the premiere of its new true crime drama Under the Bridge. Not to be outdone, Max has the debut of Conan O'Brien Must Go, in addition to a new episode of Robert Downey Jr.'s wild new miniseries The Sympathizer, which will premiere a fresh episode on Sunday, April 21.

Prime Video may have released every episode of Fallout season 1 last week, but it earned the show a fast renewal. So feel free to catch up on that series, as well as Apple TV+'s Franklin, which is continuing with a new episode this week. And April still has a few more original shows to premiere before we get to May.
