Is That Dog Lost? No, He

They’re calling it SpotLight, and if your Spot has a habit of roaming, it could be ideal for you. It’s a tiny GPS unit that attaches to a dog’s collar and lets you find him if he’s decided to hit the road.

At 2.5 ounces, it’s tiny and lightweight, which is more than can be said for the $250 plus monthly fee the American Kennel Club (AKC) is charging for the device. However, it means you can track Fido and find out where he is via PC, smartphone or cell. Or owners can simply call or text the AKC, which will provide the dog’s location.

THQ Goes to the Dogs with Fetch

With the astonishing popularity o games like Nintendogs, it’s not too surprising that THQ has announced the availability of Fetch!, a new PC game developed by its ValuSoft division.

EA President Publicly Criticizes N-Gage

“When I picked that thing up I knew it was a dog — it just feels stupid,” Riccitiello told news agency Reuters in an interview last week, before reportedly going on to mimick the difficulties presented in using the awkwardly-shaped system as a phone.

The criticism is all the more damaging for Nokia because EA is actually a key supporter of the N-Gage on the software front, with the Finnish mobile giant hoping that games such as FIFA 2004 will help to lift the fortunes of the game deck.
