Toshiba plans to show off new displays for notebooks and wireless phones this week at the Society for Information Display International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition in Seattle.
According to CNET News.com, Toshiba plans to show a new 14.1-inch SXGA+ LCD with a 1400×1050 resolution that weighs only 330 grams.
The company will also display a new 12.1-inch WXGA LCD for widescreen notebook PCs that offers a resolution of 1280×768 and weights 250 grams.
Toshiba said it will unveil a prototype of a color 3.5-inch Quarter Video Graphics Array “system on glass” input display that can capture images directly via sensors within a thin film transistor LCD, along with a 3.46-inch QVGA organic light-emitting diode display.
