Logitech intros new Playstation controllers

Both products will be available this summer on retail shelves in the US and at http://www.logitech.com/.

“PlayStation gamers are used to having an expansive choice when it comes to the excellent games available for the system. We wanted to make sure they also have a broad range of excellent choices when it comes to purchasing a controller,” said Fred Swan, Director of Marketing for Logitech’s Audio and Interactive Entertainment Business Unit.  “Our goal is to provide a range of innovative, high-quality controllers that satisfy the varying tastes and priorities of gamers. We therefore provide everything from a reliable 2.4GHz radio frequency in our cordless product to added features such as leather grips in our new corded controller, all at attractive price points.”

Logitech Extreme Action Controller

The Logitech Extreme Action Controller is the luxury and performance controller for gamers who aren’t satisfied by victory alone. It combines high-end features such as genuine leather grips and a lustrous metallic finish with components designed for premium performance such as gold-plated connector pins, precise rubber-capped analog sticks, a crisply accurate D-pad and responsive triggers.

The controller includes a turbo mode that makes fast work of tough enemies. Dual vibration feedback gives gamers a feel for the action. All of the standard buttons are provided in a familiar and comfortable arrangement, and Logitech has included a 9.5-foot cord for added convenience. The Logitech Extreme Action Controller will let gamers win in style for a suggested retail price of $24.99 US.

Logitech Action Controller

The Logitech Action Controller uses the essential Logitech Extreme Action Controller shape and components but takes them in a sportier direction to result in an aggressive controller that begs to be played hard. Specially-designed rubber grips provide comfort and a secure hold on the action while channels in the rubber reduce perspiration. The tough plastic finish looks great, but handles wear and tear gracefully and is easy to clean.

The Logitech Action Controller features a 7-foot cord with a standard connector. It also includes the same dual vibration feedback, turbo mode, analog sticks, D-pad, triggers, and action buttons as the Logitech Extreme Action Controller. Gamers looking for a rugged performer will find the Logitech Action Controller priced at a suggested retail price of $19.99 US.

Both controllers are compatible with games for PS one
