Sony Corp is expected to unveil a smaller version of its popular PlayStation 2 game console on October 26, according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter.
Sony Computer Entertainment hasn’t issued a comment on the report, but Sony’s game unit will be holding a briefing in Tokyo on Tuesday to explain its business strategy. Industry experts expect the new product to be unveiled at this briefing.
Sony’s new console, to be called the PStwo will be 30 percent smaller than the current PlayStation 2, but is expected to retail for the same price of $149, HollywoodReporter.com said in an article dated September 15.
