The BeoCom 2 is an intriguing phone with its curved design and aluminum casing. For the holiday season, Bang & Olufsen is updating its BeoCom 2 in a number of bright and bold colorways.  Apparently these phone went through a unique and timely process to achieve their new holiday hues. The process was devised using a strong lacquer that is used on cars to avoid scratches during the finishing phase of the automobile. Bang & Olufsen says these new color schemes have given its quirky phone even more character than before.

Meet the Ferrari Guitar from Blackbird

Ferrari commissioned San Francisco-based Blackbird Guitars to build a limited edition version of their Rider travel guitar done up with a subtle touch of Ferrari livery. The Ferrari version of the carbon fiber guitar sports a red A string, a Maranello Red interior, and is finished off with a Scuderia emblem on the head. The Ferrari series starts at $1500. Teenagers are Still Texting While Driving

texting_while_drivingNearly 1 in 4 teenage drivers admit to texting while driving, with half of all teenagers admitting they’ve been in a vehicle with a teenage driver who was texting.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) research numbers indicate drivers under the age of 20 had the highest number of distracted-driving fatalities in 2008. In the No. 2 spot, according to research, are the drivers between the ages of 20 to 29.

Every year, the Oxford New American Dictionary announces its Word of the Year—along with runners up—in which the dictionary highlights terms it will be adding to its reference work in an effort to keep up with modern American usage. And the 2009 word if the year is “unfriend,” meaning to remove someone as a “friend” on a social networking or online service like Facebook.
