The improvements to Destiny 2 that come with its second expansion, Warmind, are welcome, and it's a big step up from the last outing, Curse of Osiris. A lot of repetition means this still doesn’t feel like the top of Bungie’s game, though.
In an earnings call, Activision Blizzard teased an unannounced upcoming DLC pack for Destiny 2, as well as new professional Overwatch teams, and some big Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 changes. These tidbits provide hints about how the company's most popular games will evolve later this year.
In a developer video released ahead of Destiny 2's third season, which starts May 8, Bungie detailed changes to exotic weapons. Essentially, exotics will be more sought-after due to increased attack power and Masterworks. There's also a pretty sweet reward for rising up the ranks in Crucible in season 3.
Destiny 2's second expansion, Warmind, rounds out the season pass when it lands May 8. Bungie is saving concrete details for an official reveal stream April 24. Warmind coincides with the start of season three, which brings important changes to the Crucible.
