Price: $12,500 per pair

When money is truly no object, these over-the-top, outrageous and quite possibly back-wrenching speakers from CEDIA 2010 will shake your house as hard as your wallet.

Whether you save every scrap of change for your next Marantz, or smirk at audiophiles for the ethereal qualities of music they spend fortunes chasing, everyone can appreciate a speaker system that impresses as much when it’s turned off as when it’s turned on. And CEDIA 2010 had plenty. While companies like Bose and Orb Audio move toward making speakers less and less obtrusive in the living room, these quaking titans remain proud of sound – and have the footprint to show for it. Check out some of the most outrageous home theater speakers we spotted on the floor at CEDIA 2010.
