KDDI intros new A5305K movie-mail phone

KDDI Corp. and Okinawa Cellular announced their plans to launch sales of the new Movie Mail-compatible handset A5305K in mid-May of this year.

Manufactured by Kyocera Corp., the handset allows users to shoot and send seamless movies and is part of a new lineup of third-generation mobile phones (CDMA 2000 1x), a format that enables high-speed data transmission of up to 144 kbps.

The A5305K comes in a stylish, innovative design, providing a new feel for users. Unlike conventional clamshell-type handsets, the main display side slides back and forth and can swivel 180 degrees.
