With the Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 700 solution, it’s simple to capture, create and share digital music, photos and videos, with optimized buttons that are tightly integrated with popular media players and the new Logitech MediaLife software.
The keyboard emulates the sleek look and feel of consumer electronics equipment with its media control buttons. But the power of the buttons is in the integration with software, including Logitech MediaLife software — an easy-to-navigate, full-screen interface that brings together all of the music, pictures and video on the PC. With Logitech MediaLife, it’s easy to quickly access playlists, play impromptu slide shows and watch video clips.
The polished media controls for volume, play, pause, fast forward and rewind can be used with most popular media players. Audio preset buttons can be tied to favorite Internet radio stations and playlists in Musicmatch(R) Jukebox or Windows Media Player, similar to radio preset buttons on car and home stereo systems. There’s even a dedicated button for easily recording or burning media.
“This isn’t just about a product — this is about an experience,” said Denis Pavillard, Logitech director of product marketing for desktops. “Many keyboards have extra buttons that people just don’t use and don’t want. We designed this keyboard with added powerful controls based on what people are really doing with their PCs — playing music, sharing pictures, browsing the Internet, instant messaging and productivity applications. The Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 700 tightly integrates the physical controls with important software and the Internet, so the technology becomes transparent and people can simply enjoy their experience on the PC.”
Rechargeable Cordless Mouse
The Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 700 product comes with the Logitech Cordless Click! Plus Rechargeable Optical Mouse. The mouse recharger stand also serves as the receiver for Logitech’s proprietary Fast RF wireless technology. With a rechargeable mouse, people can experience cordless freedom without ever having to change the mouse batteries.
Two-Hand Navigation Control
The Logitech Cordless Desktop LX 700 solution includes two-hand navigation control, giving people unprecedented levels of navigational ability through simultaneous use of the mouse and keyboard. The Tilt Wheel Plus Cruise Control(TM) on the keyboard combines a scroll wheel with both vertical and horizontal scrolling ability and cruise control buttons for efficient vertical scrolling. The keyboard features a zoom control panel, with one-touch ability to zoom in and out of documents, making it easy to touch up a digital photo, perfect a presentation slide, or view an entire document layout. There’s even a snap-back feature on the keyboard that instantly returns a document on screen to its original size. The mouse comes with Logitech’s Tilt Wheel Plus Zoom scrolling feature, which allows people to scroll in three dimensions using the mouse alone. Used in combination with the keyboard, it’s a great way to increase efficiency in Microsoft Office applications and to take some of the strain off of the mouse hand.
The keyboard also comes with an integrated control for one-click switching between open documents, and another control to instantly close open windows.
The LX family of cordless desktops all feature ergonomic characteristics that help make the experience more comfortable without changing the way people work. The keyboard designs have a low profile — they are 22.3 mm in height when placed on a flat surface. The keyboards also incorporate Zero Degree Tilt, which means the primary rows of keys are all the same height. According to independent studies, the ergonomic benefit of a low-profile keyboard without any slope is that it may help minimize wrist extension. Repetitive wrist extension can be a cause of hand and forearm discomfort.
