Sprint To Offer DISH Network TV Services

Sprint announced today that customers in its 18-state local telephone operating territory can now subscribe to DISH Network satellite TV services directly through Sprint.

Sprint offers customers a single source for local and long-distance calling, wireless, high-speed Internet and now DISH Network Satellite TV services.

“Bringing satellite TV services to our customers gives us the final element to offer our customers a total suite of communication and entertainment products and services,” said Steve Carter, vice president of consumer marketing for Sprint Local Telecommunications Division. “Sprint continues to lead the way, providing our customers with the savings, simplicity and choice that comes from receiving multiple services from one company.”

Sprint Brings Entertainment to the Home
Sprint local residential customers in qualified areas are eligible to sign up for the DISH Network satellite TV offer. The offer, available through Sprint, includes a variety of DISH Network packages that provide customers with access to hundreds of sports, entertainment, news and children’s channels. Sprint customers who subscribe to the offer will be eligible for DISH Network promotions, such as Digital Home Advantage, which is DISH Networks’ whole-home, multiple-TV solution that requires no contract, no hardware to buy and no installation fees and provides local channels where available, all for one low price.

The specific benefits to Sprint residential customers:

• Free standard professional installation on equipment for up to four televisions.
• Sprint Solutions and Sprint DSL customers will receive a discount on their DISH Network services when they sign up for a qualifying DISH Network package.
• $49.99 credit on first bill to cover activation fee.
• Standard receivers and digital video recorder models (DVR) available; satellite dish antenna and remote controls are included.
